Golfer Reviews
Poor condition for green fees paid
Since they've lost the Canadian open the course has gone downhill, greens are slow and don't roll true. Rough is all cut down and makes the course much easier to play. Not impressed for the cost to play.
Pace of play was very slow. Waited on every hole and every shot. No marshalls seen. I expected better conditions for a course that at this time of year could be hosting the Canadian Open .For a venue that regularly charges over $200 the conditions were very unacceptable. The staff were very helpful and the dinner afterward was very nice.
Great course
We had a great day at Glen Abbey. The practice facilities are first rate and are included. The course is always in great shape. Playing here with all the forced carries over bunkers will make you appreciate just how good the pros are. Thank you to golf now for making it affordable.
Late may
The good: pace of play, fast greens, conditions considering there was a storm the 2 days before.
The bad. Temp greens, 1 make shift hile, tee boxes were brought forward max length 6600, and a few tee boxes were beat up badly.
At 119 for the round I can't really complain. At a summer rate of 250 I would be mad
Disappointing
2 temporary greens and 1 hole completely substituted with a par 3. Not the Glen Abbey experience I was expecting with my son....
Should not have to pay full price when temporary greens and substitute holes are in play.
Greens were not in very good condition and there was debris on most of the fairways.
Club link needs to pick up their game at the Abbey
Temporary greens on 1 and 4. 15 closed.
No GPS???? One of Canadas top courses and no GPS.they haven’t had it in four years because their supplier went under - then get a new one. Now that Clublink has lost their battle to develop it, it’s time to put some money back in it
Great course
Nice course and very fun to play. Would absolutely recommend.
Course not quite ready
Great course. However, temporary greens and one temporary hole made it a bit less enjoyable than normal. It is a great course.
Glen Abbey
Great summer weather, not all greens were in the best shape but overall this course is a gem. Nothing not to love about it. Can't wait to play it again.
Temporary greens on a championship course? Surely not.
No indication that temporary greens were being used. No communication from Golf Now nor the club when checking in.
The foursome felt cheated by the obvious hiding of this fact until it was too late.
Glen Abby is a gem
The only reason it does not get 5 stars is because there were 2 temporary greens in the fairway and one hole was closed.
Experience
Didn’t know holes were closed and 2 holes were pins in the fairway. It is a great course but wasn’t worth what I paid when you didn’t get to experience a lot of the course. Should of been told before booking
