Glen Abbey Golf Club

No indication that temporary greens were being used. No communication from Golf Now nor the club when checking in.

The foursome felt cheated by the obvious hiding of this fact until it was too late.

The only reason it does not get 5 stars is because there were 2 temporary greens in the fairway and one hole was closed.

Didn’t know holes were closed and 2 holes were pins in the fairway. It is a great course but wasn’t worth what I paid when you didn’t get to experience a lot of the course. Should of been told before booking

It was the first time I had played there in 15 plus years and I was really looking forward to the round. and I ended up leaving there disappointed.

To play a course that hosts PGA events is always something any golfer would look forward to as I did. What I did not expect was to get there and see temporary greens/flags set up on the fairways for two of the holes. On top of that we also did not get to play the Par 3 15th hole as they said it hasn't come back to form as of yet and had set up another temporary par 3 for golfers to play.

I understand reasons why greens are closed but it is hard to buy into when you walk buy and see them in mint condition.

I played a public course north of the city the day before which was in much better condition.

Just thought I would share my experience.

I understand it's early in the season, not questioning that part the coarse was actually in decent shape considering a beat up as the greens looked they putted at a decent pace, coarse was relatively dry and playable, nice to see quality sandin the bunkers and rakes back on the coarse my only complaint was as for what price I paid It would of been nice to know that a few greens weren't in play regardless of there attempts to replace them with temporary greens, its always great to play here but definitely disappointed about the current price for the conditions...

2 holes had temp greens and 1 closed. Why not tell customers before they book. Brutal

I've played this course alot, I think if you like it you really like it. The layout suits my game, right hand draw.

Greens are super fast and smooth so the ball rolls true, even though the Greens don't look as nice as they play.

Biggest complaint was the super slow group in front that created 3 empty holes in front of them. Second biggest complaint was some of the tee boxes were in rough shape.

Should be notified about the temporary greens when booking. Staff was great. Always fun to walk in the footsteps of some great PGA players.

Two temporary fairway greens and hole 15 closed, I guess the price reflects that but should be mentioned when booking….

First time here. Great course and layout. Staff friendly and helpful. Would play again

The greens that were open were in good shape (two temporary greens) the bunkers were a huge disappointment, it looked as though they were not touched since last year

I have played here many times and usually the course is in fantastic condition. I know it’s still early in the season, but the course is undergoing some maintenance right now, and that information wasn’t provided before booking. Currently there are 2 temporary greens and one practice hole (instead of hole #15). Bunkers are hard and full of leaves and there aren’t any rakes. Glen Abbey is overpriced at the best of times. But given it’s current state I would recommend anyone paying more than $100 to play it.

The season is still early, but the bunkers have had no appeciable maintenance since the start of covid. While rakes are still not out it is no excuse for leaves to be piled in the bunkers or to have small trees growing. Unbecoming of a course as prestigious as Glen Abbey.
