Glen Abbey Golf Club

Great course. Felt like nobody was around with the way everything was set up with social distancing. The cups need some improvements. A lot of times your ball should’ve been in the hole but you can’t take the pin out and the pin is raised too much so the balls rolls out of the cup.

Course was well orgainsed for the new norm. Good communication. Course was in nice condition, other than some bunkers had not been maintained. Group ahead was slow, no marshalls but overall a good experience for the first time out this year. Bring patience to the courses this year. If youre in a rush stay home.

I couldn't have been more thrilled to spend my first day outside, after the Covid shut-in, surrounded by the outstanding team at Glen Abbey, even with a short-handed staff, they were determined to carve out time to connect and ask how my winter had been, they greeted me by name and ensured I felt welcome, while still following stringent directives regarding the new life "SOP's". As always, the course has a beautiful layout, the early season greens will be back in action soon, and overall, the course was in moderate to good early spring shape. As expected the round was a little slower than normal at 4:34 min. but WHO CARES!!!! I was outside in the SUN!!! It was amazing. Brian, Amy, Drew - I am sooo sorry i don't know more names.....but all of them, every one of them was amazing and kind and welcoming.

Had the opportunity to play this course at a reduced price and was not disappointed...Course conditions were excellent even though it was the end of the season. The layout was challenging but fair (played the seniors tees). Staff were very friendly. All in all a great outing.

It's a very lovely place and the staff are good. The Club Link model is about revenue so you have to understand they will take anyones money as long as you show up and pay.

I played yesterday with a good friend from Scotland. He gets so frustrated with the pace of play on public courses, in Canada. I agree, the Abby pace is sooo slow evertime I play it. As the home of Candian Golf, it needs to step it up and get people moving.

Get golfers to the correct tee boxes, this needs to be detemined at check in. 95 percent of the golfers I saw yesterday could handle the gold tees. Too far and punishing for their skill level. Next state the time you want people to people to play get a round.in. Finally get a real marshal out on the course who uderstands speed of play. Players need to play the entire course a lateral hazards,

We waited on the tenth hole for over 25 minutes. I was waiting on every shot, either on the tee or from the fairway.

They let out three twosomes in front of us, we asked the twosomes to join each other and speed it up. They looked at us with blank empty looks.

We played in 4.45, which they feel is exceptable. The game can and should be played in 3.30 in my opinion.

In closing the Abby needs to take some pride in the game and the speed of play,

Lovely place to visit, Clublink in my opinion cares about revenue first and player experience is way down the list. Having said all of this we paid $59.00 for a course that charges $225.00 during the summer.

Maybe I am asking too much considering the price?

Really need to improve on pace of play. Every time I play it's over 5 hours.

Course was in good shape though.

Maybe we just came on a bad day (a tournament was concluding as we arrived), because we didn’t have the golf experience we hoped for when we booked. The course was run down with lots of on course maintenance occurring. The pro shop staff was stretched thin and it took quite a bit of time just to check in. Getting basic information (where’s the range, directions to 1st tee) required us tracking someone down to ask rather than being provided an overview at check-in. The course layout was fun and the weather was good, so that helped counter-balance the deficits. Overall, an average golf experience.

My favorite Ontario course .... great variety of holes ... front Nine different then back nine .... amazing holes in the valley I hope they don’t develop it and host more Canadian opens ! Only know if the pace late in the afternoon everyone wants to take pictures but not a bad problem to have !! Cheers

I had the misfortune of paying a lot of money ($160) for an extremely slow round (2:45 for 9 holes) with poor playing conditions (all of the greens were aerated). My sense is that this place is a cash cow for the company that runs it. In fact the assistant in the pro shop said to someone on the phone that there is a corporate event their everyday. (I found this out while I was returning a shirt that I bought because I was disgusted with the place.) Crazy story - one of the "player assistance employees asked my group to "make sure that we kept pace of play" - while we were the third group waiting mid way through the first nine on a tee box. Talk about gaul!

Got a great price to play a PGA tour stop.

Staff was good. Marshall said it would be slow and it did take 5 hours to play.

14th green was not even cut and 16th was not complete cut.

There is no way you can charge people over $100 for a round. Carts don't even come with GPS.
