About
Winchester Golf Club is a short and sweet 5,200 yards from the tips. Those looking for length will have to go elsewhere, but if you want a quick round, this course can be played in less than four hours. The course is situated among Brooklin's gently rolling hills, which are covered by forests that are part of the Oak Ridges Moraine. The player-friendly layout is ideal for beginners. It is also a great place for kids to learn how to play. The golf course is not difficult by any means but it provides good practice. There are a few challenges spread throughout, including a fair number of bunkers bordering the greensides. Its forgiving nature and risk-reward opportunities make it a great place for golf tournaments as well.

Crazzy long wait times between holes
Waayyy too many people booked for this course - 20 min wait times to tee off are not acceptable - pace of play is impossibly slow. This course is very narrow on most holes and NOT for beginners. Crossing fairways to get to your next tee block is totally ridiculous. It's way too dangerous - safety is not a top priority with these folks - its all about jamming more people in and getting a hold of their money. Proof, if its too good to be true......
Nice little course but if you are not careful scores can balloon.
We arrived before our scheduled time and were told we may go earlier than scheduled. Very friendly pro shop attendant.
short par 4s
decent greens. Layout a bit dangerous i.e. tee blocks proximity to greens & overlapping fairways. Good value but should be played in 3 1/2 hrs or less.

but several greens were in need of work. Too many holes with dog legs without enough options. Tough to know where to hit it on the first time playing
this course needs attention !
It's in the worst condition in years, Tee boxes are very uneven and in bad shape, bunkers very hard, less then 1/4 '' of sand (need to be tilled) , some greens need grass in spots and the pace of play for a course less then 5000yds from the back tees was atrocious .

I try to play this course at least twice a year as it is a somewhat challenging course, as I shot 18 over par, my brother, who is a decent player , shot 4 over par.
Course and price were great. Some tee boxes need Attention. Overall it was a great experience
short course from whites. we played the gold tees and found it quite challenging. The tee boxes need work and they had an employee seeding while we were there.

Average Small Course
Whinchester is an enjoyable smaller course. Played with a good friend and our wives and it was a lot of fun. The course is short enough to be very playable for the women. A mix of challenging holes with several easy par 4's that are reachable. $90 per couple with carts included on the weekends is an acceptable deal but in my opinion due to the shortness of the course and its average condition its worth $70-80 per couple at the most.
A sub-sized 18-hole with a few interesting holes
A great value for money round. The proshop staff was warm and friendly. Paired with a nice couples. Fully enjoyed the round under beautiful weather condition.

The course will let you play most of the clubs in your bag.
Though we played most of the game in the rain, the greens were very fast. The fairways do require some maintenance but since the end of the season approaches I'm hoping things will improve in the spring. The course is moderately challenging and requires some imagination on certain holes.

Improved course conditions
I haven't played Winchester for a couple of years and wasn't expecting the course to be in such great shape. Will definitely play again. Good value, especially twilight fees.
Course is perfect from beginner to seasoned. Layout is great with perfect mix between par 3 and par 5. Very scenic.
Winchester is a beautiful well maintained course. The holes ranging from par 3 to par 5 are all challenging. The scenic views make the whole experience enjoyable.
