Winchester Golf Club
About
Winchester Golf Club is a short and sweet 5,200 yards from the tips. Those looking for length will have to go elsewhere, but if you want a quick round, this course can be played in less than four hours. The course is situated among Brooklin's gently rolling hills, which are covered by forests that are part of the Oak Ridges Moraine. The player-friendly layout is ideal for beginners. It is also a great place for kids to learn how to play. The golf course is not difficult by any means but it provides good practice. There are a few challenges spread throughout, including a fair number of bunkers bordering the greensides. Its forgiving nature and risk-reward opportunities make it a great place for golf tournaments as well.

Course not investing in itself
Things are eroding from crumbling bridges to tee boxes that have not seen grass in years to a dangerous and confusing layout. Lots of blind shots leading to lost balls and potential dangerous situations. Staff was very friendly but they seem to be waiting for residential development to absorb the course. I mean any good course that a tee deck with no grass would clear away some trees and put down top spoil and sod. not this course. The layout often has you walking in circles and backtracking back down a hole you have played to get to the next tee(dangerous).
Not bad for the price
If you tee off around noon you can get a power cart and 18 for 30 bucks. Course is decently challenging with a few par 4s and one long par 5 on 18. Greens however arent in great shape and tee off boxes on a number of holes are either all sand or rock hard ground which isnt ideal.
Overall a fun course with decent play for beginners and some challenges for experienced.
45 minutes late for tee off because they didn’t have enough carts and booked too many people at the same time. Tee blocks in terrible conditions and sand traps were like cement. Greens had recently been aerated and were very bumpy.
Winchester not worth playing
I've played Winchester many times but the last few rounds have been terrible especially today over 4 hrs to play had to wait at every hole don't think I'll be returning very soon
Good starter for the year
Its not the most beautiful course out there but it's a reasonable price to get back in to the swing of things for the year.
Painfully Slow!!!!
We were over 3 hours for 9 holes and decided to call it quits. There are no marshalls on the course pushing pace of play. You may also want to wear a hard hat at there are balls flying all around
