About
Winchester Golf Club is a short and sweet 5,200 yards from the tips. Those looking for length will have to go elsewhere, but if you want a quick round, this course can be played in less than four hours. The course is situated among Brooklin's gently rolling hills, which are covered by forests that are part of the Oak Ridges Moraine. The player-friendly layout is ideal for beginners. It is also a great place for kids to learn how to play. The golf course is not difficult by any means but it provides good practice. There are a few challenges spread throughout, including a fair number of bunkers bordering the greensides. Its forgiving nature and risk-reward opportunities make it a great place for golf tournaments as well.

First time playing
The guy in the pro-shop was nice and had me off immediately. Course was alright, a bit too easy for me personally over driving most par 4's with a 3w. You will either love or hate the layout, I wasn't a fan. Course could use a bit of TLC which it seems the grounds crew is working on as I type this, they were working hard today on the tee boxes (which most tee boxes were fine btw). For the price I got I would probably try it again in the future, but would pass at a price increase.

This course has finally outgrown its history as a wide open link course. With the maturing of it's trees, it has become an excellent course
Family outing
I do like this course, I just wished they would do something about the tee boxes. It makes for a hard day. The Marshalls should be after slow players but they are more worried about having a smoke. I should not say them all, just one. Could tell me where I should not drive the cart but could not tell the 3 guys ahead of us to move or let us pass. At the 18th hole we watch them wait for the group ahead to get onto the green before teeing off. I was thinking they guys were going to hit the ball 400 yards.. It is a good course to get in a round or two. The price is right if you get it for under $50

It had been a few years since I played this course and I remember the course conditions being much worse. Definitely an improvement this time around.
Course Marshall Watched Half Our Round
As the title hints, the course marshall literally watched us like a hawk for (no joke) 8/18 holes. We waved while driving by him twice and both times he didn’t wave back. It was the weirdest thing and he made us feel very uncomfortable... especially because we were a very amateur group, so he made us feel like we were doing something wrong. I assure you, we were not.
Other than that, the course was decent. Lots of driveable par 4s, layout was a bit tight with a lot of tee boxes near fairways and greens, and the greens weren’t bad if you don’t mind a few unfixed ball marks. With that said, the tee boxes were the worst I’ve ever seen... uneven, no grass on some of them, painted bricks for the markers. Definitely where they need to put the most attention to their course.
Gave it a 3/5 because I shot my best round of the year here, but it’s probably closer to a 2/5. Decent deals on GolfNow.
Family outing
The biggest issue with this course is the tee boxes. The front 9 are ok but the back 9 need major repair.
The pace is slow but that is not the course fault.
The fairways are pretty good. you just need to watch where you hit because some holes play right beside each other.
Overal, this course is ok for the price.
Winchester Golf Course
Greens and fairways were immaculate today. The tee blocks were terrible, very uneven and little or no grass on most.
The course layout is ok, a bit scary in places where oncoming golfers come head to head. You need to find the fairways here as stray tee shots are often lost balls. Not a long course but it will really test your accuracy.
Winchester
WInchester is an average short to mid range course. It was in good condition and good value for a in town course.
Carts need to be upgraded though.
