Reviews
Paris in August
Always a pleasure to play this course. Conditions better than Mystic !
Look forward to playing again.
Great Course
I was very impressed with the quality of this course. The condition and hole layouts were terrific. There are a mix of forced carries and shorter position holes. Overall a nice experience.
This is a shot makers course
This is a challenging course for the first time playing it. Not overly long off the blues but definitely requires accuracy both off the tee and into the greens and the greens are faster than they look. It has one of the strongest par 5's I've ever seen (9th). I don't think there would be a "boredom" factor here ever. I'd come back here anytime even though it was a bit of a hike.
Beautiful course, great condition.
The course has picturesque elevated tees looking down immaculate fairways to relatively quick undulating greens. A real joy to play and a course I will be playing again soon.
Great layout great scenery
Paris Grand was a pleasure to play, I can't wait to play it again. I have told many friends that I definitely recommend it. Its greens are quick and has what seems to be miles of nicely groomed sand traps. great coarse!
Not great
Got paired up with some nice guys on the first tee. Pro shop was having computer problems so I didn't get a receipt. Course conditions were average at best greens were smooth but slow. For what you pay there is way better value in the area. Grand river holes are nice. 11th hole is stupid. Course designer took a page out of nicklaus' book with two dumb bunkers in the middle of the fairway. Wouldn't be in a hurry to go back.
Awesome
Loves the layout of this course. It made for a challenging day and made the round fun to play.
Great Course
This is a very nice course. we all enjoyed our round so much that we played a second 18. Staff was very helpful especially the starter who gave us a quick rundown on the front nine! Also met several greens keepers throughout the round who were also great very friendly!
paris
......difficult to know where to put the ball for first time players. One hole I thought I shanked it into the woods....turned out to be right down the middle but you certainly couldn't tell from the tee as it looked like the fairway should have been 30 degrees to the left. Couple of other holes has similar quirks, eg can see 2 greens and 2 flags from the tee, which to aim for? One hole has 2 fairways going in different directions, etc.
Will be more enjoyable if I go back with a little course knowledge. Lots of elevation changes, bunkers stony and hard packed, greens were nice, fairways good. Long round, though, tee times 6 minutes apart!
Course in good shape
This course is always in good shape. The front nine was painful as it took 3 hours to play. The back nine was better but the time spent playing the front made us want to quit. The 12th hole needs to have some work. The blind tee shot is really blind. You can't tell where the group ahead is from the tee. A raised platform would be an easy solution. However, I like this course and would say it is worth playing. The greens are large and provide a really good challenge as just getting on the green is not a guaranteed two putt. The elevation changes make the holes very interesting. I carried my clubs once and would never do it again.
wonderful course
great value for the money. green were well maintained and quick
Gem of a course is worth the drive!
Course was really wet due to overnight rain. No fault of management. A couple of dumb holes but otherwise a great course! Lady par 3 holes are all same length except for one & too short! No challenge.
Enjoyed the challenging terrain of the coarse
The terrain of the coarse requires you to be accurate and mindful of each stroke.
Enjoyed the varying challenges of each hole.
Challenging Layout.....very tight in spots, good greens
Great staff, very accomadating and flexible....let me tee off a bit earlier than my time...
Greens are fast and true.......pace of play was slow...5 1/4 hrs..........but the weather was beautiful and my playing partners nice to be with.
Course is not long but tricky in spots.......not unfair , just be carefull to be in the right spot off the tee.
nice course
Would recommend for anyone who can shoot straight....tight course lots of ups and downs and a few blind tee off shots
Thinkers Course
Course is in great shape, you you need good ball control off the tees. Fairways are in good shape and you can usually get a decent lie. Greens are fast and well kept making putting real tricky if your above the hole.
This course will really challenge your skills but well worth it.
Paris Grand
Paris Grand 3 par 5s on the front with number 8 into the most times is one challenging hole which then sets you up for 9 where again you have to decide all in or lay up . The back is no easy 9 either. Ball placement is key on 11 12 13 and 15 for sure . Don't let the par 3s fool you par is good take it . 18 is a tricky par 4 dont be fooled bunkers guard the green well and triple bogey is not uncommon.
Paris
The course has some of the better bunkers in the area and greens roll well. The 5 hour plus rounds are not enjoyable.
Interest course
A number of holes you have to position your shots strategically. Watch out for fast greens as well.
Great views
Really enjoyed the course. The ravine par 5's on the front really made you think about risk and reward. Bunkers were good to play out of. Not overly long but the greens could really add strokes if you weren't careful about the speed.
