About

Carved from the scenic woodlands along the eastern shores of Georgian Bay, Oak Bay Golf & Country Club incorporates rocky outcroppings and natural water features into its challenging championship design. The eastern coast of the bay is one of the largest freshwater archipelagos in the world and is home to diverse flora and hundreds of varieties of birds and fish. Both the fairways and greens are sloped and well manicured. In addition to the many natural challenges, which include trees and ponds, there are numerous strategically placed traps to watch out for. Oak Bay is located less than two hours north of Toronto but its beautiful setting makes it feel much further.

Fairways and greens are in immaculate condition. I lost too many balls but that's not the course's fault. I totally enjoyed the course in spite of that.

Tough course, well maintained, but a little overpriced. Staff friendliness good, slow play an issue especially for the price.

Difficult course some stupid holes

Overall I like Oak Bay but they have made it harder and therefore less enjoyable. They moved the tess back on #1 making the opening hole much harder and from a gentle beginning to a vary tough hole. Makes no sense. And # 9 is a ridiculous golf hole. Par 5 with a driver, a lay up and a very long 3rd shot - get rid of #9
