About
Carved from the scenic woodlands along the eastern shores of Georgian Bay, Oak Bay Golf & Country Club incorporates rocky outcroppings and natural water features into its challenging championship design. The eastern coast of the bay is one of the largest freshwater archipelagos in the world and is home to diverse flora and hundreds of varieties of birds and fish. Both the fairways and greens are sloped and well manicured. In addition to the many natural challenges, which include trees and ponds, there are numerous strategically placed traps to watch out for. Oak Bay is located less than two hours north of Toronto but its beautiful setting makes it feel much further.

fairway bunkers?
The premium conditions and difficult but good course design and construction are fair for the price. But the fairway bunkers are partially overgrown, and I didn't consider them playable. How could I not have been somehow inform about this before a few holes into the round? This was especially unpleasant as it was my first time through and I couldn't see where the bunkers were originally from the tee boxes. Would I have been there had I known?
Not for amateurs
I can’t hit the fairway from the whites where I have always played from on most courses. 150-180 carry is a bit much for seniors so I personally will not play this course again. I refuse to use the forward ( women’s) tee boxes just yet.
It’s otherwise a great course.
Great experience
This was my first round here and it was a great experience. It’s pretty tight with some intimidating tee shots but it’s not a long course so balances out nice. The course is very well maintained and has some beautiful views and design features. If you struggle to hit it straight bring lots of balls! Played the back tees (blue) and shot 79 (I’m a 10 hdcp) looking forward to playing again!
Great Course
This course offered spectacular scenery and was well worth the cost of green fees. Very challenging with the amount of water around the course. Be prepared to donate a number of golf balls to the water and if you are only slightly off the fairway your ball may be surrounded by an abundance of poison ivy. I would be happy to play the course again.
great setup
First time there, was not disappointed. Really makes you think about what club to use. Long Par 3's which make this course challenging.
Where’s the marshal?
Very slow group in front of us holding up us a groups behind us. When we asked them to speed up play they slowed down even more. Very selfish!!
Other than that, excellent course and nice day. I’ll be back.

Great weather, nice pace of play. Fairways greens and boxes all in excellent condition. Hats off to all the staff.
Great course!
A little on the narrow side but super great course in my opinion. On the water its very nice. would recommend all day everyday to anyone.
