About
Carved from the scenic woodlands along the eastern shores of Georgian Bay, Oak Bay Golf & Country Club incorporates rocky outcroppings and natural water features into its challenging championship design. The eastern coast of the bay is one of the largest freshwater archipelagos in the world and is home to diverse flora and hundreds of varieties of birds and fish. Both the fairways and greens are sloped and well manicured. In addition to the many natural challenges, which include trees and ponds, there are numerous strategically placed traps to watch out for. Oak Bay is located less than two hours north of Toronto but its beautiful setting makes it feel much further.

Review
Course was in good condition. Food is overpriced. Waited a long time to get a sandwich from the pro shop and paid 9.00 for a sandwich! Way too much not impressed. Starter was a little overbearing about not moving your cart until told to. Control issues. Overall all that asid it was a nice course would play again. In fact we are playing again next Wednesday. Now that i know the layout i will play it differently for sure.
Good Updates with some clearing
Course becoming more playable with some clearing of some heavily grown in thatch. Course is tough enough already so a little 'maintenance' forgiveness is much appreciated. Well done staff !!!!
Great-ish
Well-maintained course that challenges low handicappers as there is almost no rough and lots of blind landing areas from the back tees.
If you're off the fairway, you're in environmental hazards which is rattlesnake territory in this neck of the woods. Blind landing areas are mostly around the 200-yd carry mark so you're sort of forced to be precise with long irons, woods or driver.
There should be more rough for pace of play, but if you're looking for a well maintained (almost unfair) challenge, this ones for you.
Need to calm down on pace of play
No need for the starter to threaten us before the round starts on pace of play. I understand you want to stay on top of it but don’t tell me you are putting me on second tee to start my round because we aren’t on the first tee 10 minutes prior to tee off after I just spent 400 bucks to play. I play golf to get away from the whining. Not a great way to start the day. Besides that this corse is great.
Tougher Every Year
As the marshy areas off the tees get talker this gets tougher…best advice bring lots of balls
Great….tough course
Bring valls as you wont ve finding any balls….hit the fairways are else
Bring BALLS
Tough golf course….you need to ve in the fairways to score
Very difficult course. For the more experienced player.
