About
Carved from the scenic woodlands along the eastern shores of Georgian Bay, Oak Bay Golf & Country Club incorporates rocky outcroppings and natural water features into its challenging championship design. The eastern coast of the bay is one of the largest freshwater archipelagos in the world and is home to diverse flora and hundreds of varieties of birds and fish. Both the fairways and greens are sloped and well manicured. In addition to the many natural challenges, which include trees and ponds, there are numerous strategically placed traps to watch out for. Oak Bay is located less than two hours north of Toronto but its beautiful setting makes it feel much further.

Pristine Condition
Fairways like velvet, greens fast, highly recommend. Tough for novice golfers. Scenery so pretty. Can't wait to play here again. *****
Beautiful course
The course was in great shape it must really help having an unlimited source of water(Georgian Bay). It is a decently hard course quite narrow with some interesting layouts like the 9th hole. All and all very happy and a great deal to play a course like that for $100
Starter was Unbelievably Rude!
I drove up to play the course from Toronto to get away from the busy city courses and have a laidback game. My dad and I show up to a starter who is so miserable. He won’t let us play just us two. We showed up an hour before. I explained that I play the tips. The starter then said you can’t play from the tips (blues). Made us wait an hour and paired us up with a woman hitting from the senior yellow tee box and her husband hitting from the white tees.
The pace of play was brutally slow, we played from the blue, white, and yellow tees all round. For a 2 hour drive to get tested like this. I feel like I should get a full refund…
I should be able to play wherever I like. The starter got other pros from the shop to watch my first drive (with no warm up). Which landed middle of the fairway 320 yards up. I looked over to the started. Are we good? Yeah maybe realize the level of some advanced golfers.
It just turns out that I’m actually one of the longest in Canada in long drive in competition . The starter can go play from the yellow tees for all I’m concerned - don’t ruin other peoples round.

Great mix of challenging golf, amazing scenery, nature (watched an osprey hunting) and food (Charcuterie board with wine on top patio 19 hole ) Good living ! thanks to oak bay staff !

Picturesque course with wonderful staff. Definitely a top 100 Canadian course.
Nice course poor service
We booked a tee time for 10:10. The course was empty and we were able to move at our own pace with out feeling rushed and without rushing anybody else. After 9 we decided to go grab some drinks and some sandwiches which for some reason staff had no access to pre-made sandwiches or drinks. We could not purchase a beer to take out onto the course???? While inside we ordered a couple pizzas for when we’re finished that the staff said they’d have ready for us. The back 9 played a lot faster then the front and we were going to finish sooner then expected. So we called the clubhouse to let them know. We then find out that our order was cancelled and they don’t do that??? Now they did make an exception this time after asking the owner. To sim it up the course was beautiful but bring your own food and drinks during the week before may long weekend because their could be a chance you get nothing.

Last minute decision, great golf, met great people. Course a little wet, but who's isn't at this time. Friendly helpful staff. Looking forward to playing again!
Still a great course and getting better
I’ve been coming to this course periodically since the club house was a trailer surrounded by a beautiful course. The course has matured nicely and the club house is a large handsome building with a great restaurant and patio. the three of us all had something different, and we all enjoyed are lunch. The course was in good condition for a wet early spring - cart path only and slow greens was to by be expected. This is such a challenging layout thats a lot of fun to grind you’re way around while taking in some pretty outstanding scenery.

This is one of my most favourite courses ... challenging narrow scenic .... bring lots of balls. great restaurant as well.
