About
Dragonfly Golf Club is located in the upper Ottawa Valley in the town of Renfrew, which sits along the Bonnechere River. The course sprawls across rolling hills speckled with exposed rock faces, mature trees, and sparkling blue ponds, all of which come into play throughout. The scenic surroundings can be distracting because of the panoramic views overlooking the Ottawa Valley, but the design will demand your attention. The front nine has a traditional links layout while the back nine plays more like target golf. Despite offering two unique nines, they blend together seamlessly to form a golf course that will test all of your shot making skills. In addition to the golf course, Dragonfly has a driving range with 20 hitting stations and the option of tee matts or natural grass. Chipping and putting greens with a practice bunker are also available adjacent to the range.

Enjoyable Course
#18 plays shorter than you think. My nine iron trickled off the back into the pond. My wedge went to 10 ft. for my double boggie.
Really liked putting those greens. My best round of the year.

Yes we will agree with you on Hole #18. It is a beauty hole with the elevated tee box, this does play tricky for some of our golfers. We are glad you enjoyed your day with us and we look forward to coming in and seeing us soon.

Fantastic, Friendly Staff, at a moderately difficult course
This course is a lot of fun as long as you stay out of the rough. I found the rough to be very challenging and I lost many balls in it because the grass is thick and deep.
The staff were incredible. They treated us as if we were members, even though we were simply GolfNow customers.
We took advantage of the "all you can golf" and managed 34 holes before dark. This was a great deal!
Would I golf here again? That depends on whether I can stand to lose a dozen golf balls again.
Over all, a great experience... but if you plan to golf here either bring lots of balls, or plan to be looking for your ball many times!

As for the rough's, yes I agree. Our rough mower broke a week and half ago, we were out for 4 days until our rental came in, then we had to play catch up on the rough. Sorry about this. We are now just almost caught up with only a few more holes to go.

Love this course, beautiful scenery with the dragonflies
The rating for the pace was due to a foursome who were a mix of intermediate and beginner golfers and never felt the need to let a twosome (us) pass through. The marshal was very concerned and very considerate to make sure people allowed for those to go forward. But I kill time searching for balls.

As I stated in another comment in regards to this day (copy & paste) I noticed you did give us a 1/5 on pace of play. I will not argue that for the day you played. We had our Father's Day Special on that day and there was many kids on the course with their dads, Normally we get you off on a busy day in 4 to 4.5 hours on a busy day. I am so HAPPY that this did not "ruin" your round and that you understood the situation.
We are very Happy that are Marshall's were working hard at trying to resolve the issues and that you understood the situation. We THANK YOU for that :)

Wow, great experience!
Wow, what a great experience.
Was greeted by staff in a very friendly manner and was showed around as this was my first time golfing at Dragonfly.
Course was in great shape and it has many challenges. You are punished if you miss the fairway and each green has slopes which make them difficult. Fairways and greens were excellent and if you miss them it is actually thick grass, not weeds or clover.
Manager actually drove out in his cart to ask us how our round was going, what a nice welcoming touch.
I will definitely be back and it was well worth the 50 minute drive from Kanata/Stittsville area.

We may be a tad farther then some course in The Ottawa area, but look on the bright side, you don't have to battle traffic lights, traffic and city building views.
Nothing but clean driving with fantastic views, then you end up golfing an amazing course and hanging out with The Dragonfly Team for a few hours.

Great ay to Golf
Dragonfly is a good course. With the rain recently it has greened up quite nicely. Like most courses around it still needs some more heat for the greens to be good but they survived the winter pretty good.
Had a great time. Was paired with 2 members and we had a good time. Sun came out and a bit of wind kept thebugs away.

We are so glad that you had a great time with our 2 members the day you came for a game.
We did notice that you gave a 3/5 stars for "pace of play" for a round of 4 hour 15 minutes.
I reviewed the tee sheet for the day and I noticed that we had the High School gym glass out that day and a normal round on a very busy day would be 4 hours 30 minutes. On the day you came and played you should have been done in less the 4 hours or around the 4 hour mark.
If you have any issues with this please call Andrew at 613-432-3838 he would love to talk to you in regards to this.
Overall it looks like you had an amazing time and we are very happy about this.

A beautiful round!
Being from Northern California and having played courses around the world and the United States I am particular about courses. Dragonfly offers some tight and picturesque lies. I was very pleased with the layout and the distinct difference between the front and back nines. Beautiful scenery abounds and the elevations on the back nine were very.challenging. I'll be back. The prices were excellent and it was a great day overall. Incredibly wonderful and friendly staff.

Great greens, ok course layout
The course layout, in my mind doesn't stand out. Some holes are blind and you're staring at bush. I believe that a hole should guide your eye towards the green/flagstick. The owners have planted trees on the first and second hole which will help as they have the potential to be great holes. The positives are that the greens were awesome, barely any ball marks, and there are some fun holes. Things I dislike about this course and any course is having to walk back 20 yards to get to the tee deck. It's a pet peeve.
All in all, awesome greens, great value but don't expect a championship golf course.
Countryside gem
It's a tale of 2 9's. The front is links style and the back is target. Well maintained, beautiful scenary. Premium placed on course management and ball striking
Can I give it 6 stars?
This was the best course I've played in the courses I've played in Ontario and Quebec yet. This is also the most difficult course I have played.
The course came highly recommended by others from the area that golf, and it truly did not disappoint. From the 1st tee to a photogenic 18th tee, this course is absolutely phenomenal. There is truly not a single negative I can find with this course. The tee boxes all have repair kits, the greens are immaculately well kept, and the fairways are exceptional. The rough, where I found myself plenty during my round, is just that. Rough.
With the change in Autumn and the leaves turning, this is the best time to play. The weather was magnificent today, and the scenery is unparalleled.
All of the staff I encountered and talked with today were extremely cordial and professional, capping off a perfect day of golf
I will without a doubt recommend this course to anyone and everyone I talk with, it was well worth the 1 hour drive to get there.
