About
Dragonfly Golf Club is located in the upper Ottawa Valley in the town of Renfrew, which sits along the Bonnechere River. The course sprawls across rolling hills speckled with exposed rock faces, mature trees, and sparkling blue ponds, all of which come into play throughout. The scenic surroundings can be distracting because of the panoramic views overlooking the Ottawa Valley, but the design will demand your attention. The front nine has a traditional links layout while the back nine plays more like target golf. Despite offering two unique nines, they blend together seamlessly to form a golf course that will test all of your shot making skills. In addition to the golf course, Dragonfly has a driving range with 20 hitting stations and the option of tee matts or natural grass. Chipping and putting greens with a practice bunker are also available adjacent to the range.

A beautiful round!
Being from Northern California and having played courses around the world and the United States I am particular about courses. Dragonfly offers some tight and picturesque lies. I was very pleased with the layout and the distinct difference between the front and back nines. Beautiful scenery abounds and the elevations on the back nine were very.challenging. I'll be back. The prices were excellent and it was a great day overall. Incredibly wonderful and friendly staff.
Great greens, ok course layout
The course layout, in my mind doesn't stand out. Some holes are blind and you're staring at bush. I believe that a hole should guide your eye towards the green/flagstick. The owners have planted trees on the first and second hole which will help as they have the potential to be great holes. The positives are that the greens were awesome, barely any ball marks, and there are some fun holes. Things I dislike about this course and any course is having to walk back 20 yards to get to the tee deck. It's a pet peeve.
All in all, awesome greens, great value but don't expect a championship golf course.
Countryside gem
It's a tale of 2 9's. The front is links style and the back is target. Well maintained, beautiful scenary. Premium placed on course management and ball striking
Can I give it 6 stars?
This was the best course I've played in the courses I've played in Ontario and Quebec yet. This is also the most difficult course I have played.
The course came highly recommended by others from the area that golf, and it truly did not disappoint. From the 1st tee to a photogenic 18th tee, this course is absolutely phenomenal. There is truly not a single negative I can find with this course. The tee boxes all have repair kits, the greens are immaculately well kept, and the fairways are exceptional. The rough, where I found myself plenty during my round, is just that. Rough.
With the change in Autumn and the leaves turning, this is the best time to play. The weather was magnificent today, and the scenery is unparalleled.
All of the staff I encountered and talked with today were extremely cordial and professional, capping off a perfect day of golf
I will without a doubt recommend this course to anyone and everyone I talk with, it was well worth the 1 hour drive to get there.

a nice course
another good experiance at dragonfly. the course was still in good shape well worth the hour drive. however it took us almost 5 hours to complete the round.
Hi Again sportywife, I just saw the date you played is posted. Could you give the course a call at 1-888-275-3838 and ask to speak to Andrew in regards to your round of golf.
Thanks The Dragonfly Team
Hi sportywife, thank you so much for your comment. I am sorry your round took almost 5 hours to play. As you could see from most comments we average 4 hours a round. Would you mind letting me know what day you golfed so I can look into this issue for you. Thanks in advance, The Dragonfly Team
Terrific "golfers" layout!
If you are a true golfer, you'll enjoy the course design which depending on your choice of tees is very challenging. The well kept greens maintained a similar pace throughout, however the tee decks and fairways require some work. The staff were all very good and customer service was terrific throughout the day. As the course matures I would expect the quality of the fairways to improve over time.
Nice course
Course is in great shape, greens are big. Nice to see grass all around. Back 9 great challenge with slopes. Front 9 just simple links holes. Course very pleasant to the eye.
Nice, but eats balls
The course was in very good shape, greens were nice and fast. Only issue the rough on every hole is long grass that has laid down, making it impossible to find balls even when they just trickle off the fair way.
Great deal for the money, best kept secret for sure in the area.
Holes are well laid out, no interference with others while playing.
Quite challenging although most par 4's were somewhat the same, 385 yards and a dogleg, probably 8 out of 18
The course was in great shape, both on the greens and fairways.
Quite nice to have level tee blocks for a change
All in all will probably play course again in future and would definitely recommend it to others.
Staff very friendly and courteous, kudos to them.
watch out for # 15
All holes have their unique challenges but are certainly makeable in regulation.
The greens and fairways are in excellent condition.
Tees are also good with hole layouts and ball washers at every one, making it easy for first timers.
I thoroughly enjoyed my round of golf here.
This course has improved a lot
We golfed at this course a few years back and it was in a bad condition. We decided to try it again and I must say they have really worked hard to make this a very nice links course to enjoy. The fairways are very wide and nice and the greens just amazing. Would highly recommended this course. The staff is outstanding even the course keepers are very attentive when you are playing.
A beautiful and challenging course
That's what I'm looking for an all around golf course that gives you beauty, challenge, friendly and courteous staff.
course has great features
WOW the greens where immaculate,BEST shape i've ever seen. Good job
Great Layout
Playing this course is like playing 2 different courses in one day, the front 9 have a links style layout while the back 9 have tighter fairways and provide an entirely different challenge. When I played, they had just finished aerating the tee-boxes earlier in the week so they were in rough shape, but this didn't affect play much, even on the par 3's.
The course has very nice holes that will challenge your accuracy using water or bunkers to make sure you play the right club distance wise, and don't go off either left or right of the fairway.
A little ways away from Ottawa, from definitely worth the drive for the quality of the course, the price, and the super courteous staff that works at Dragonfly. Will definitely be playing this course again this season.
Fun, challenging course
Weather was light rain so 2 of us played fairly quickly as it wasn't too busy.. Front appears wide open but the edges eat up anything that gets close. The back has a lot of sloped fairways and blind shots, easy to end up in the wrong place. Greens are a bit slow but consistent and in good shape.
I will definitely play there again.
What I enjoyed the most with this course, is that you start on the links side of the course where everything is opened and fairly level playing field which is a great warm up then you move to the second nine which is more of the rolling hills and the degree of difficulty increases which is fantastic.
Hello reinergeoffrey
We are so happy you enjoyed yourself on the course. Your feedback is important to us and we really do enjoy reading them
We look forward to having you back very soon, until then,
