About
Dragonfly Golf Club is located in the upper Ottawa Valley in the town of Renfrew, which sits along the Bonnechere River. The course sprawls across rolling hills speckled with exposed rock faces, mature trees, and sparkling blue ponds, all of which come into play throughout. The scenic surroundings can be distracting because of the panoramic views overlooking the Ottawa Valley, but the design will demand your attention. The front nine has a traditional links layout while the back nine plays more like target golf. Despite offering two unique nines, they blend together seamlessly to form a golf course that will test all of your shot making skills. In addition to the golf course, Dragonfly has a driving range with 20 hitting stations and the option of tee matts or natural grass. Chipping and putting greens with a practice bunker are also available adjacent to the range.

Great for beginners and pros. A variety of yardage
Had my two grandnephews 13 and 12, beginners last year and they loved the course. The price was unreal with golf now. This week is take a kid to the course so they played for free. Had a wonderful day...We played Dragon Fly twice this week and had a blast.

Fast challenging greens, none are flat...slopes on them all.

Best kept secret in east Ontario
Undulated green, fast green, Thick rough, wide fairway. Club house need some improvement but if you ask me, i like a good condition golf course over a nice club house...
Best "Bang for Buck" in Ottawa Valley
This was not my first time playing Dragonfly however it has been a while and I was happy to return.
The deal through GolfNow was outstanding full 18 holes with cart for under $20/person.
Overall, the course is in really good shape. The fairways was wide open and are harder than Chinese math so if you hit a long ball you will not be disappointed. Plenty of opportunity to use driver off the tee.
The greens are rock hard as well which made it difficult to get close to the pin but to be fair I am an awful golfer so getting close to the pin is challenging on any course.
The pace slowed down on the back nine however that is of no fault to the course...if people are slow then there really isnt much you can do about it.
The staff was fantastic, food was good and they had "Farmer's Daughter" on tap...what more can you ask for??
If you have never played then give a shot, I am confident you will agree that this gem of a course is extremely under rated.

My husband and I played this course for the first time today
It was in great shape and we would definitely return.
Good challenge
Course is still coming in after winter and the greens were still a little slow and the grass still needs a couple of weeks.
Course also has lots of character on the back nine. Worth the trip from Ottawa

We loved the course and the service was excellent. However, while we were at the clubhouse, we witnessed the course pro/manager treat one of the servers with complete disrespect. As we ate our food, we heard him swearing at her and saw him being offensive for an insignificant reason. This was completely unprofessional to see a manager talk/act like that towards a waitress/employee. I would definitely golf the course again knowing he was demoted or fired. Five star on the course and service, minus 5 on the management.

Good Scenic Course
Course in great condition with nice fairway and well maintained green. A hilly course with some challenge holes. Friendly staff. Will come back for sure.

A Real Gem
I made a mistake with the date when I booked through a third party online. We arrived at the course and the very friendly staff informed me on the error.
They bent over backwards to remedy the situation with me and got us out playing in only a few minutes.
Needless to say, I am impressed with the customer service. The course is a real treat too, my brother in law was visiting from B.C. and loved it so much we played two days in a row. Many Thanks!

Great track! Greens are fast and in perfect condition. 1 hour from Ottawa, worth the drive! Shawn in the proshop is awesome, made us feel very welcome. We will be back!

Dragon Fly worth playing
One of the best value courses around Ottawa. The greens are fast and very well maintained. About one hour drive from Kanata.

My wife and myself and two friends of ours spent the day at Drangonfly and it was a great day. Course was in good shape, weather was perfect and the staff were great.

great value for the $
This course is probably the best conditioned, and best value for the $ in the entire Ottawa Valley area.
The greens were mint, the fairways carefully manicured, even the tee boxes were still in good shape after a busy summer. The holes are quite unique, especially on the back nine. The staff were friendly, and the service great. Well done DragonFly you gave us a great day.

Our Favourite Golf Course in the Ottawa Area
Absolutely love Dragonfly. Has enough of a challenge to make it interesting and work on some of my own, um, faults. But also relaxed and friendly enough that you don't feel an enormous amount of pressure. A beautiful natural looking course. Our only complaint is the beverage cart - the prices are high for what you get and the isn't much food selection. The beverage cart girl could probably improve on customer service. That being said, the food and the service at the clubhuse are really, really good. So given the choice I wait until we are at the clubhouse before food or beverages.
