Pheasant Run Golf Club - Highlands
About
Pheasant Run Golf Club offers 27 holes of scenic, challenging golf. The nine-hole Highlands Course features a rolling landscape that is dotted with dense thickets of mature trees. This layout is the longest of the three nines at 3,380 yards from the back tees and it is also considered to be the most difficult. The golf course has a target-style layout, much like the Midlands nine at Pheasant Run Golf Club, with plenty of trees and elevation changes that demand accuracy. The undulating terrain also provides scenic views of the surrounding countryside. The golf course opens with a long par 5 with a narrow fairways cut among cedar forests.

Great fall day for golf! Photo submitted by jonefraser on 10/20/2012
Great Deal through Golfnow!
Hadn't played this course in years, even though its close to home.
Pace was a bit slow even though there didn't seem to bee too many on the course...we were a twosome.
All in all a great day, forgot about the challenging layout of many of the holes. Made it very interesting. Greens were in very good shape for the end of the season. Fish and chips at the turn was a nice surprise!
Would like to play here more regularly next season. Hope they take advantage of Golfnow next year as well.
very enjoyable, even with a 3 hr frost delay
The greenest of greens. They actually appeared to be blue-green in colour! the entire course was in excellent condition and they threw in a pork ribs with fries and soup lunch with the fall special rate. Though far from my home, I will definitely be playing this course come spring 2013.
Good value & great course condition. Love to play again!
Green condition is great even in late fall condition. Holes are challenging with 27 holes. Fairway condition is excellent. Staff is very friendly . Great value from Golfnow include Cart and lunch voucher.
great condition for fall golfing
one of my favorite courses in GTA. course condition, especially bunkers, is not at its best, but for this time of the year, this the better condition course around town. i can't complain.
no better word to discribe except Excellence
Everything is on the top in golf club, including beauty and design of course, elegance of club house, professional staff service, value of price, etc.
Beautiful track, great people.
Though there are more spectacular courses in this genre of Ontario country courses there is something about this one that resonates for me. I'm certain a big part of it is the great staff, courses of this calibre tend to attract staff that believe their waste doesn't smell but Pheasant Run seems to have avoided the acquisition of a burdensome collective ego and it makes the course a joy to play. The course itself is truly beautiful and has that perfect balance of being challenging but fair.
One of my faves!
I have always liked to play at Pheasant Run. It is a good test for most levels of golfers. I love the routing of the holes and the beautiful scenery. Great range to warm up on. Friendly staff. Usually in very good condition.
Fantastic course
Beautiful three 9 holes of this club is challenging and fun at the same time. Very mature course with a feel of a private club. Highlands 9 Holes are the most spectacular. Not to forget its friendly stuff that create for you a very relaxing and enjoyable time. Driving range is also in great shape. Pros are good and know what avid golfer wants. I played there over 10 times so far and want to come back. Hope you guys will enjoy it as much as i did. Have a good game there.
Fantastic Course
This course has a feel of a private one but yet every one is welcome. Super friendly stuff and good pros, know what they do and make you feel very easy and comfortable out there.
Driving range is fine too, mats or grass for your choice. I would only think of one thing is the Gas Carts, I would love to see the electric ones. The 3 9holes are spectacular, fairways are in fantastic condition, greens usually were good with around 8 SM speed. I played there for about 10 times so far and always want to comeback...
great course for discounted price
it is a good course, but not worth $99 as regular green fee. but <$50 from golfnow with cart is definitely worth every penny. the course is well maintained but some greens are too sandy at the end of October. Will go again if the price is good.
This course is in very good condition. The green are super
Excellent course, good green. The fairways are super. Staffs are friendly and helpful.
Great course at a great price
We played the Highland and Midland nine's yesterday and had an amazing game. The fall colours were spectacular and the course was in great shape aside from a couple of recently top-dressed greens. The staff was super friendly, especially the fellow in the snack bar. It was my first time playing the course and I will definitely be back.
great elevation changes , pristine undulating greens
Driving into this course is a beautiful site to see ! The winding road runs between 2 fairways and gives you a sneak peek at some of the prettiest views of any course in the greater toronto area.Upon arrival at the bag drop you are greated by several friendly staff members that unload your gear for you.The view from this area is a spectacular , as the clubhouse is made from cedar logs and large muskoka stones. The staff even pick you up after parking in the lower lot , and bring you back up to the clubhouse.Greenfees are a little steep at a little over $100 mid season , but with the discounts available from Golfnow , it's well worth the trip , and you will not be dissappointed! Spectacular views throughout the entire 27 holes make you feel like you are in the middle of the Muskokas. It is very peaceful with lots of wildlife. The greens have plenty of undulation , and are pretty fast , but for the most part a real good test for amateur as well as pro. Hardly a level spot on the fairways of this course , and some very tricky tee shots , as mature trees line both sides of most fairways, forcing a draw or a cut shot on many of the tees. I think one of the best things about this course is the whole time you are there it seems like you are so far away from the rest of the world , it's like your on a holiday !!
Fun course, great shape
Hadn't played this course in years. It was in great shape and a good challenge.
Great course
Pheasant Run is always a pleasure to play. Staff is friendly, course is super challenging. Hitting the fairway on a lot of holes is not enough as they have run off areas into the rough. Greens were too slow, that is really the only complaint.
Very nice mature course with good to excelent holes
Played twice and found staff to be friendly and actually remembered me the second time. Got us out fast and the course is in very good condition. Very good value
A private course experience at affordable prices
The course has three nines and is kept in excellent shape. The Highlands and Midlands provide the best challenge. If you can't hit it straight, make sure you bring extra balls. This course is expensive when compared to others I play, but I think of it as treating myself once in a while. Try it .......... you'll like it!
Challenging
A fairly tough course ......... tight fairways, undulating fairways and lots of hills.
