Reviews
Great golf course for the money.
I booked my round through Golfnow For a good price. The course was in great shape and the staff were very friendly, even when they had to nudge us along to keep the pace of play up.
Nice course, expect wind
This is a nice course in pretty good shape. The problem is it is so flat and being beside the highway it's SO WINDY. If you don't mind the wind ok. I found it to be a little much.
Pace of Play??
Have played this course many times since the second year it opened, seen many changes including flipping the nines! why?? Nothing like your opening tee shot into a strong prevailing wind. Love the layout in general with a true links experience. Pace of play was terrible, ranger added a twosome to ours, which is fine, but get the three threesomes ahead of us, all in carts, moving please. Waited for every shot on the back nine! 3 hours, you guys are better than this! why are the bunkers rock hard? Greens ran true and well, as always. Can't comment on food, didn't have any.
A Unique and Challenging Layout
I have played this course many times as far back to when it was called Lochness Links and have always remembered this course to be a stern test.
This course generally plays windy which makes many holes even more challenging. A person who is able to flight their ball and work it both ways will do well tee to green. Of course, avoiding fairway pot hole bunkers helps scoring as well.
The layout and scenery is unique and one of the better courses in the area. It is the closest Niagara course to a Scottish Links set up. The 9th and 18th par 5 holes wrapped around water are one of the best looking holes in the area.
The only bad thing I can say about the course is that the bunkers are concrete and at times unplayable. I'm not sure why the bunkers are neglected?
Great track!
Course in good shape for this time of the year. If you are looking for a good challenge play from the tips.
Great links style course, a tough test
This course is a great test for any golfer. The condition of greens a nd fairways is phenominal. Greens are very large and fast, downhill putts beware. All par 3s are all 200 yards or longer from back tees except No 4 which is short. No 9 and No 18 are 2 of the best par 5s in the Niagara Region in my opinion. Go play and have patience as it can be a 4:30-5 hour round
great condition
This place is in great shape this time of year, friendly staff good good. Slow pace of play but that happens.
Long course
Great deal and course was in good shape for time of year. Pace of play was amazing since we were only ones on course the whole round. Was very windy and cold hands were frozen after hole 5 but still managed to have a good time. Would not recommend this course to beginners.
Priced Right
Fun track to play anytime .Priced right for spring conditions and will play again .
What a course but not for a beginner
Long par fives, lots of water and bunkers.
A course you can play over and over.
Enjoyable day at Hunters Pointe.
Played here last june when on holidays from Dublin, Ireland. Excellent course in a very impressive setting. Tough track especially the par 5 third hole. The feature hole has to be the par 5, 18 nt when you have to play over water twice. Course very well maintained and greens good. If your on holidays in the Niagara area give it a go. Hope to get back maybe in '16.
Great day for Nov 11th
Course was in good condition for the time of year. Looks like it could use some TLC on the little things like cart paths. Greens healing well after being punch several weeks before
great late season golf
Got a fantastic golfnow price and with the weather being forecast as inclement, hardly anyone else on course. Sun came up on the back side and wind dropped making the day quite playable
Hoping to get out again before the winter temps set in
great course for late in the year, excellent in the summer
This is a great course for late in the year as there are no leaves. The long grass had been cut but you should stay out anyway. It was that time of the year and the greens were good but not great for putting. To be expected. This is a must play course. We were paired up with members. Nice guys but not a lot of help. On every par 3, I was told how he had got a hole in one. The way he hit the ball it may have been true. We had a good time.
Go Play
Quite Interesting, Perfect Course Condition
Layout is a narrow strip, but works well. The course is in supreme condition, love to tee blocks, excellent greens. Definitely would be back to enjoy this course.
Amazing course
Amazing course, great hills and valleys making for a challenging but very enjoyable course. The only negative would be that it's located next to a busy highway and the noise is fairly loud. Otherwise the conditions and the overall setting is perfect.
Frost
I think frost is a worse enemy for courses than rain. We arrived before our 10:10 tee time in beautiful sunshine 10 degree weather. Unfortunately we were delayed 45 minutes due to frost. They did their best to get everyone out but it was crowded. I think a course could offer us free coffee while we wait......
Well maintained course with several very challenging holes.
A very good golf course with many interesting holes. The 9th and 18th are great finishing holes, and it is fun to sit on the patio and watch groups come in. Water comes into play a number of times on both holes.
nice course
Playing pace was very slow waited 10 minutes on every shot
Excellent Golf Deal
Went as last minute decision and got a great price. The course is in excellent shape with the greens especially fast. The course, while not real long, has a number of challenging holes that are worth the chance to play. Staff were polite and a pleasure to deal with. The only downside is that the challenging layout had a tendency to back-up play. I would return anytime.
