Oshawa Airport Golf Club
About
Oshawa Airport Golf Club is situated in a scenic valley, running alongside a gentle stream. Sprinkled within the executive layout are some of the toughest par 3s in all of Ontario but they are nicely balanced by more player-friendly par 4s. Throughout the course you will find plenty of challenging hazards. Two large ponds come into play and there is a meandering creek that runs across three holes. The fairways are wide open and the undulating greens tend to be fast. You'll also find strategically placed bunkers along some of the greens. Although the greens have some tricky slopes, the golf course is mostly flat and easy to walk. Oshawa Airport Golf Club finishes with its signature hole, a 175-yard par 3 that requires a carry over water in order to reach the green.

Good Vakue
The course is in decent shape. The greens are in good shape. Tee boxes are uneven and a bit chewed up.
Embarrassing
I played this course years ago and was in pretty good shape at the time. This time, not so much. Most fairways were hard to even find a green piece of grass, yard markers were non existent, tee blocks were garbage, all the yardage from the tee blocks to the green were 95% wrong and by like 30 yards off, if not more. No beverage cart even though it was prime time on a weekend. This course is an embarrassment. Might as well have played in my backyard. Staff and starter were nice but other than that there is no reason to play this course. Spend the extra 10-20 bucks and play somewhere worth while.
Marshall
Marshall was a complete sarcastic dolt. Didnt ruin our day. Definitely put a damper on that. About the 10th round I have had there. And the last. Do not reccomend this course if you want to enjoy the round.
Good condition
Course is in good shape. Greens also good. It was busy but no long waits. Nice mix of holes and some challenging ones. I have played here before and the course never disappoints.
Work on your short game course for me lovely for beginners
My son and I played here this afternoon. Pace of play was a little slow but I don't understand why the course doesn't pair twosomes or groups on the first hole to speed up play. There were back to back to back twosomes all waiting for a couple foursomes ahead. The marshall asked how things were but we just put up with it. We putted for five minutes on most greens while waiting , two groups were still on the eleventh tee for example. Found the greens slow but green some held a good shot with some roll out but acceptable in a heat spell. The fairways were cracking with many brown dead grass which I understand with only limited water which is clearly used only on the greens. All in all my son scored a 86 and I had a 67 for 18 holes and I found that I played to position my tee shots rather than hammer a long drive to the short par 4's where there can be trouble if you are too close or not straight. Kind of a fun course for a good player to just have some fun.
Airport Course Enjoyment
The Airport course staff are first-rate and they work very hard to ensure that your experience is a positive one.
Play fast
This is not a course for first timers. You need to play fast.
Pleasently suprised
Groans were great. I was not expecting much out of this little course. Some holes were a little confusing as to where they were. Fairways were as expected. Hard and weedy. But the greens were top notch. They also don't sell cans of beer. Only draft. Makes it a little diffacult to carry more than one with you.
Dry
Really dry course. Fairways r rock hard. The rough is pretty brutal too. Greens r good. Couple of difficult pr 3’s. easy par 4’s. no pr 5’s. you need to be 21 to drive a cart which is really really really annoying considering we paid for one. Yardage markers r completely off. Clubhouse only offers drinks chips and chocolate bars. I finished in 3 hours walking
They do sell cans of beer, they are pouring them into cups though.
