Rock hard
By far the worst conditions at this course in the last few years. The greens and fairways were like playing on a marble table top. I really love the layout of this course but I will not pay the price listed for this course again. The other local course here in Burleson in a little better shape and quite a bit cheaper although the course is not as well designed.
Excellent golf course
I hadn’t played here in a few years and that was a mistake. Southern Oaks continues to be a great layout. I recommend this course.
Southern Oaks Delivers
Hadn’t played here for a while. So glad to get back to the course. I like some of the modifications made to #1. Well worth your time and money.
Bring Your Short Game
This course has challenging greens and they are well protected by bunkers. A confident short game will come in handy here. The staff are friendly and practice area is nice. The course is located in a great neighborhood. The only negative thing I noticed is the carts are ready for replacement. Even though this course is relatively flat, there is a lot of space between greens and tee boxes. Probably not a walkers course.
Great place, still winter conditions.
Fun layout, Friendly Staff. Always a great place to play. But like everywhere, the grass is still dormant. Typical winter golf in the area.
In very good winter shape
It's winter. Greens are in surprisingly good shape. Highly recommended.
Good greens, but that’s about all.
The greens were very good. Fast and they rolled true. That’s about it. 90% of each fairway had no grass. I understand that the course was still wet in some areas, but the ball would almost plug each tee shot and get no roll. Some grass in the fairways would help that.
