Southern Oaks Golf & Tennis Club

Would like to encourage all to play this course....As a military veteran and senior would appreciate considerable lower rate.

We enjoyed playing this course for the first time and will definitely be back. They are working very hard to improve the fairways so will look forward to their progress.

Greens were in great shape, we finished around 5:30 so they were starting to get bumpy from people forgetting how to pick their feet up when they walk. Played from the white tees which were a little short but it is about the yardage my 15 year old plays from. They need a set us tees that measure about 6500, there is a big gap from white to black tees. Great day overall.

Course improvements are noticeable in the past 12 months. I like playing there. A variety of holes and layout

Friends of mine had told me that the new owners at Southern Oaks had done some great things with the golf course. Course conditions yesterday were perfect. Greens were a bit slow, but given some of the undulations and pin placements, this was probably a good thing! Fantastic layout, great pace of play,, great condtions and a golf course that you need to play more than once to really get a feel for it. I'll be back to Southern Oaks!

Greens are fast fair and don't be on the wrong side. You will pay

Our group had fun and enjoyed the course.

Better than most for winter greens (undulating greens). Fairways are dead, like most courses in the winter. Good layout and challenges.

Friendly staff, and good facility/amenities.

Hopefully, they will fix the broken/cracked cart path (then all 5 stars from us).

We will come definitely come back!

Nice course and practice area the staff does not like the fact I paid with golf now I played 3 times that week on vacation . All 3 times heard complaints about us golf now guys paying less and was told that hopefully I buy something else from them . Which I did a d normally do but felt pressured to do so and the other guys had same counter experience about the rate they paid . All in all real nice place to play if you ignore the club house rudeness.

I'm so upset at myself for sleeping on this "gem" of a course. I live less than 10 miles from this "gem" and couldnt be more pleased I finally played it. I will definitely play it again and again and again and will bring more friends with me ..!!! Thank you for a lovely experience!!!!

Love Southern Oaks, it's tucked away in the woods outside of Burleson, Tx , it feels like you are all alone when you are on the course. Pace of play is great, have never had to wait on this course. The course is in great condition and the club house is also great. They have just added a new outdoor area that is very attractive, and the food is very good.

Southern Oaks is back! Everything that had slipped about the course a few years back has been corrected and it is a joy to play again.

You are rewarded for good play and penalized for errant shots as you should be, the bunkers are the finest sand you will find anywhere and the greens are awesome!

Can't wait to play again!

Greens were smooth and putted great.

Greens very good, fairways good, bunkers had lots of loose sand and tee boxes in good shape. At this price through Golfnow, a bargain.

The course was in really good shape. The fairways provided a very nice surface to hit from, the greens were smooth and medium speed and the pace of play was about 3.5 hours. The only thing at this course is that the staff could stand to be a little friendlier / accommodating.

Southern Oaks is my favorite place to play in South Fort Worth. They have done tons of work recently on the course and the greens are excellent!

I am writing this as a cumulative review as I have played this course many times. This is my recommendation to you. If it has rained within the past week, it is not the best course to play as several of the holes will retain small patches of standing water. If it has been dry for a while, this course is an excellent choice. The bunkers need some love. The greens have a lot of reads, but are true. Definitely worth the drive to play, but make sure it has been dry recently.

If the greens have been punched you should let people know before they book a reservation. Greens very slow. Terrible shape.
