Southern Oaks Golf & Tennis Club

Course was not in as good a shape as you would expect being what it costs to play. The greens had been aerated and it was like putting on a cobblestone Road. The dirt spots in fairway and around greens were muddy and an eyesore. It the course was in top shape it would be great and worth paying the high green fees.

They are making some changes to the course, they airated not too long ago and the greens show it but they should be prime time by summer hopefully. Great layout and good tee time management only had to wait because group in front had some bad shots off the tee. Nice practice area too

I had a wonderful experience here. They are in progress of repairing portions of the course but the parts that are under repair didn't affect me. Once the repairs are complete, this will easily be a 5star course.

Tee Boxes - Some under repair but in great shape on the rest.

Fairways- in great shape, they had outlined their up coming repairs and can't wait to see it when they finish.

Greens- Rolled smooth, true, and had a bunch of undulations.

Bunkers- Perfect!!! Soft with white sand.

Golf carts were in great shape, had seen the cart girl 3 time during the round.

In conclusion, one of the best courses I've had the opportunity to play on the Fort Worth side of the metroplex.

Challenging for me but fun. I would recommend this course to anyone who plays.

This course is in great condition even though they had just sanded the greens. Open and inviting looks off of the tee but still requires discipline with left to right control as you can find yourself in some trouble regardless of a good hit. Sand was well kept and fairways were much greener than a lot of surrounding courses. This might have to be my new regular course!

While some of the course is under repair, the overall condition is good. Bunkering is top notch, fairways are fast, all greens are elevated making the golfer think about what club to play.

Enjoyed my round despot fact that they have many areas that are under repair. Course will be really nice later in the year.

Would like to encourage all to play this course....As a military veteran and senior would appreciate considerable lower rate.

We enjoyed playing this course for the first time and will definitely be back. They are working very hard to improve the fairways so will look forward to their progress.

Greens were in great shape, we finished around 5:30 so they were starting to get bumpy from people forgetting how to pick their feet up when they walk. Played from the white tees which were a little short but it is about the yardage my 15 year old plays from. They need a set us tees that measure about 6500, there is a big gap from white to black tees. Great day overall.

Course improvements are noticeable in the past 12 months. I like playing there. A variety of holes and layout

Friends of mine had told me that the new owners at Southern Oaks had done some great things with the golf course. Course conditions yesterday were perfect. Greens were a bit slow, but given some of the undulations and pin placements, this was probably a good thing! Fantastic layout, great pace of play,, great condtions and a golf course that you need to play more than once to really get a feel for it. I'll be back to Southern Oaks!

Greens are fast fair and don't be on the wrong side. You will pay

Our group had fun and enjoyed the course.

Better than most for winter greens (undulating greens). Fairways are dead, like most courses in the winter. Good layout and challenges.

Friendly staff, and good facility/amenities.

Hopefully, they will fix the broken/cracked cart path (then all 5 stars from us).

We will come definitely come back!

Nice course and practice area the staff does not like the fact I paid with golf now I played 3 times that week on vacation . All 3 times heard complaints about us golf now guys paying less and was told that hopefully I buy something else from them . Which I did a d normally do but felt pressured to do so and the other guys had same counter experience about the rate they paid . All in all real nice place to play if you ignore the club house rudeness.
