This course is in its worst shape ever.
This course was so bad that it was embarrassing taking my guests their, I was very upset that no one at the club house even mentioned this. The greens were white from all the sand they had on them. The ball would come to a complete stop once the ball try to go over it while you were putting. This is the worst I have ever seen any course.
Course is okay
I played 9 holes a couple weeks ago and found the course to be appealing and laid out nicely. There were some rough spots in the fairways that needed some attention. The greens were okay, but a couple did have some burnt spots. Overall, it was less than $20 to play 9 holes and had the course to myself and I would say it is worth playing.
Course good..............Greens Poor!
The course is in pretty good condition...........but the greens are poor and the grass is not smooth!
Tee box good fairways good greens need lots of work.
The course is in fair condition and needs some work but has improved from the last time I was there greens need some work but I think there going in the right direction.
good layout
my friends and i play this cours several times a year. last year we played it around the same time and the greens were in terrible condition. we played it later in the summer and they were perfect. we played it on saturday the 11th and the greens again were not in good shape. not as bad as last year but still need work. we have played several other courses in the past couple of month and all of their greens were in good shape. not sure what the problem is here.
Good value for golf now specials
Fairways still bearing the scars of last years drought. Greens fair condition.
Pace was slow
The pace was slow, but I find that to be the case on all texas golf courses on the weekend. They allow you to walk but do not offer a walking rate.As a walker it is hard enough to find a course that allows this, but you are not offered a different fee...That REALLY turned me off to this course.
Layout is fine, the greens are bad.
I have played this course many times and everytime I go back it is worse. The layout of the course is not the issue. The fairways are poor and sparsely grassed, the greens are BAD! It is April and they are already almost dead/ dirt. The only good thing is the bunkers. Don't waste your time go across I-35 to hidden creek. Truely amazing when the neighborhood has 300-500k homes. Go figure?
Loved the course. Will definitely play it again!
Fairways and greens in good condition. Enjoyed the course very much.
Decent Course
The pace of play was good but there are too many weeds in the fairways and trash on the course. It's decent for what I paid.
Nice layout; traps need work
There were some sand traps that were absolutely disgraceful; nothing but mud or hard packed sand and some with water standing. The layout is nice and greens are fair, but too many traps were a mess; glad I landed in only one (too bad it was the worst one, on 18).
A challenging course, great value!
I played this course on 3-11-13 and it got my attention. First off, you'll notice the well-placed bunkers on every hole. Bring your range-finder so you can beam the bunkers and strategize the hole. It looks a bit like a Scottish Links course without the ocean next to it, and not as wide-open, and there are trees on plenty of holes. But its not too tight either. Most holes do not have houses lining them, and no back-and forth parallel holes, and we all love that! Most green are slightly elevated and well-bunkered. Approach shots that don-t hit the green will usually bounce further away, and up-and-downs are no gimme. These are some of the most undulating greens in the Metroplex. Land it in the right spot and you could have an easy birdie. Land it in the wrong spot and a likely three-putt will ensue! So these greens are really challenging, interesting, and fun. And they roll pretty well too. Then there's the length of the course. It's more than 7,300 yards from the tips, which means long hitters still have a 4,5, or 6 iron to the green on many par 4's, and 200 - 260 yard par 3's are the norm, depending on pin-placement. But the tee boxes vary greatly to accommodate all skill levels, so don't let the distance scare you. But it is a real pleasure to play a course that challenges the bomber from the tips! Considering the fairway & greenside bunkering, the length, and the challenging yet fun greens, if you can score well here, you can score anywhere!
Good, interesting course, and a great value, usually in the $20 range. I will play here often, and my game will be better for it!
Nice course
I was very impressed with this course last week. Can't wait to see it in the spring when all is green.
Good day with some great weather!
The course was in good condition especially since we have not hit spring yet. It is a harder course then most around due to the sand in areas that you would not expect in. For the money it is not a bad course and the range is always open. Peaceful woods and surroundings.
We usually play here at least a couple times a year. No hesitation in coming back, never had any issues.
Slow...
Very slow... back nine came to a crawl.
On #10, we had a 2some, 3some, 2some, 3some, all on the 10th hole at the same time.
Awesome layout but greens and fairways need water!
Very nice, challenging course. Would have given it a better rating but the fairways, and greens are hardpaned. Definetly get penalized when missing the raised greens. The bunkers are also void of real sand and hard to get under the ball since its clay. A little water would go a long way to hold the ball on the greens. Not a fun day when a lob wedge from 80 yards out bounces 10 feet past the pin!
Well maintained, challenging course with a courteous staff.
The course was in good shape, the greens were a little firm but putted true. The fairways were maintained well and easy to play from. The rough is not penal but it does exact a toll for straying into it.
the course is challenging
enjoy the layout of course. Has some very tuff par 3 from 2 back tees
Lots of Bunkers Well Positioned
Course in Good Shape for Winter Golf ,Great day, very challanging with the Bunker Placement and the # of bunkers
Will most Definetly Play again in the Summer when the Course is in Summer Shape
Absolutely no upkeep. Anywhere
This place is just nasty. It COULD be great, but apparently the management knows nothing about golf, much less anything about managing a golf course. The course itself has seen almost no maintanance whatsoever. And the clubhouse is just gross. It looks more like a storage building; dust on the furniture, floors, light fixtures, and "decor"; sticky counter and tables. Supposedly you can buy food and drinks, but there's never anyone there at the end of the day to serve/cook any. Not that you would want to eat in the filth...
Sadly, it wouldn't take much to improve things, but whoever mangages it clearly has no vested interest in its success.
I will say that the pro shop is run well. But that's it's only positive.
