About
Coyote Ridge Golf Club, opened in 1999, features some unusual holes that traverse a variety of unique terrain. Each nine is strikingly different -- the front plays through a burgeoning residential community, is generally wide open and void of trees, and takes on the characteristics of a links-style course.
Water comes into play six times on the front, including the extremely difficult ninth hole, which doglegs left around a lake that stretches all the way around the green. Survive the tee shot by bailing right if you have to, but consider laying up on the approach since the water bends all the way around and surrounds the green on three sides. You’ll still have the chance for an up-and-down par, and playing for bogey is much better that rolling into the turn after a double-digit disaster.
Also on the front, No. 7 is a fun par 3 because of the 70-foot drop in elevation. The tee shot goes 165 yards over water into a very wide, challenging green.
Coyote Ridge Golf Club's back nine rolls through an abandoned rock quarry along the Trinity River, featuring more trees and elevation changes.

Great course - Bunkers under repair
This course is real fun. The Bunkers are under repair but that only means no stroke relief
The greens are really hard to read credit to them.
Can’t wait to go back
Packed as usual
This place is always busy. This past weekend it was busy but still moved at a decent pace. The greens were in decent shape despite being punched recently. The bunkers were in rough shape in a lot of spots, mostly unplayable. The facility is nice, clubhouse and practice area. The rough is thick, so small mistakes can be costly. Overall it’s a decent place. There are a lot of other courses I would choose ahead of this one for the money.

Over priced given it’s under construction
Great course I’m sure when it’s ready. Long wait for carts. Sand traps are in very poor condition. long wait for balls at the range. Staff was friendly, bar staff was great. Pace was great layout is fine. But under these conditions I didn’t feel the value was there. After construction and if they fix the sand traps it would be worth the Money.

Course under major repairs only 8 holes open
Course was a solid layout. Super excited to play, arrived to find out only 8 holes were open. This course needs 3 months at the minimum to be ready to play and to get your moneys worth from the daily rate. Greens were heavily sanded and besides that the course was a great layout for a public course and has the potential to be fun!

Great Pace of Play
The course was pro-active in keeping course of play at a 4 hour round. One foursome running way behind and at the turn we were able to move ahead.
All staff from golf shop check-in, bartenders and course beverage personnel were very customer service minded.
We also had a breakfast taco that was very tasty that we ate on the course.
Only area for improvement was having the beverage cart more available. It was not until hole 17 before cart was available to us.

Great public course
I would have given this 5 stars but the traps were all closed and under renovations (perhaps helped my score) and one hole (Par 5) had us tee off from fairway. But the greens, fairways and rough were all very well kept and in good overall condition. Lots of challenging holes and scenic. Top technology and accommodations at club house. I will come back!

Sand traps are awful
It’s a shame that such a beautiful course has the worse sand traps in the metroplex! There is no sand, they are mud basin traps!!
The rest of the course is amazing and the layout is very challenging.

Great shape
I was very surprised how good of condition this course was in. Big time respect and we will definitely be back. Bunkers are being completely redone and can’t wait to play it when they are finished. Great layout with some beautiful holes!

Nice Course
The course in undergoing sand trap renovations, but overall the course is in good shape. We enjoyed playing this course. It was not overly crowded which allowed us to play in under 4 hours.

Nice course, good shape
Tee boxes were a touch base, but nothing you can’t play through. Bunkers under repair but there aren’t a whole lot for it to matter anyway

Immaculate course
Wow!! This course is gorgeous. I am a member at Cowboys and I thought that was the best course in north DFW. I was wrong. This course was perfect! Fairways and greens could not be more perfect. Bunkers are under construction but I didn’t spend any time in them so it doesn’t matter. Met two members Ryan and John and they could not be more friendly. Definitely going to join this club and make it my home course. Membership is not that expensive for what you get and definitely cheaper then cowboys or Craig ranch. Will add pics next time. One last detail, shot a 34 on the front and a 39 on the back. Not bad for the first time playing.
