About
Coyote Ridge Golf Club, opened in 1999, features some unusual holes that traverse a variety of unique terrain. Each nine is strikingly different -- the front plays through a burgeoning residential community, is generally wide open and void of trees, and takes on the characteristics of a links-style course.
Water comes into play six times on the front, including the extremely difficult ninth hole, which doglegs left around a lake that stretches all the way around the green. Survive the tee shot by bailing right if you have to, but consider laying up on the approach since the water bends all the way around and surrounds the green on three sides. You’ll still have the chance for an up-and-down par, and playing for bogey is much better that rolling into the turn after a double-digit disaster.
Also on the front, No. 7 is a fun par 3 because of the 70-foot drop in elevation. The tee shot goes 165 yards over water into a very wide, challenging green.
Coyote Ridge Golf Club's back nine rolls through an abandoned rock quarry along the Trinity River, featuring more trees and elevation changes.

Needs some care
While the course layout was very good, fairways/greens were good, the sand bunkers were in poor shape. My wife and I lost 4 balls in muddy flooded traps. No drainage no French drains. Still flooded 3 days after a heavy rain. Not worth the $95 each.

Still SLOW
Very nice course, but they do not and will not do anything about SLOW play. Golf is not a 5 hour game. I only play here when I forget how SLOW it always is. Also, when the sand traps are out of play til fall and the whole course is freshly punched/aeriated $100 is way too expensive.
We apologize for the pace of play issue and the course conditions you experienced at our course. We always try to keep a great pace when having our golfers on the course. Coming Together
There are a lot of good things happening at Coyote Ridge. The greens were recently punched and coming along nicely as was the fairway. Once they redo the traps this will be a nice golf course.

Will wait another few years to play
Nobody advertises conditions but punched and sanded greens, punched fairways on the front (cart path only) and all bunkers played as ground under repair makes for not a great time. Add in that #9 is one of the hardest holes in DFW!! Staff and restaurant were great. Will come again sometime!!

Great day at Coyote Ridge
Enjoyed my recent round at Coyote Ridge very much - probably the best round of golf I've played, tee to green in years, and the course was in really good shape. Only complaint was that the greens had recently been aerated and sanded, so putting was pretty unpredictable, but the tee boxes and fairways were in great shape. We played in under 4.5 hours, so that pace of play was great for a Friday afternoon.
Staff was great here as usual, so that helped round out the day. We'll be back.

Great course, one of my favorites in the dfw area
Great course as always, love playing here. They just punched the greens recently so they were a bit slow and bumpy but overall course is in great condition.

Slow play
Course was nice for the most part. The greens could use some work, but you could tell they are working on it. Biggest downside is they let a group of 6 in front of our two-some. Nothing was done about it until the 8th hole. Pace of play was ruined and we barely finished before dawn. Other than that I think the course was in better shape than most of the reviews make it seem.

Poor greens
Greens were aerated the previous day. When checking in the club pro asked if we received an email stating the greens were aerated. I told him no and he stated well they are. We wouldn’t have played if we would have know.

First timer. I'll be back
Moved to the DFW area recently and exploring new courses. Coyote Ridge was awesome all around. The course is in great shape, outside their bunkers which they're in the process of renovating and they play as GUR right now. Loved the layout. Teed off at 910a and easy round with no issues of pace of play. Great job yall!! Keep it up. I'll be back for another visit soon

Coyote Ridge Is Way Too Underrated
This course was awesome. I'm traveling from Denver for vacation/seeing family and staying in Prosper and have played 5 different courses and this course had to have been #1 or #2. I played Cowboys, Frisco Lakes, and a few others but for the price, pace of play, challenge level, and condition of the course this was overall my favorite. Just challenging enough to where I hated myself at times, but open and straight up enough to where I didn't have a horrific score card. Excellent time there, well done Coyotes!

Great Shape
The course was in great shape. Greens were smooth & ran true. Only negative was the bunkers were out of play (considered ground under repair).
