About
Coyote Ridge Golf Club, opened in 1999, features some unusual holes that traverse a variety of unique terrain. Each nine is strikingly different -- the front plays through a burgeoning residential community, is generally wide open and void of trees, and takes on the characteristics of a links-style course.
Water comes into play six times on the front, including the extremely difficult ninth hole, which doglegs left around a lake that stretches all the way around the green. Survive the tee shot by bailing right if you have to, but consider laying up on the approach since the water bends all the way around and surrounds the green on three sides. You’ll still have the chance for an up-and-down par, and playing for bogey is much better that rolling into the turn after a double-digit disaster.
Also on the front, No. 7 is a fun par 3 because of the 70-foot drop in elevation. The tee shot goes 165 yards over water into a very wide, challenging green.
Coyote Ridge Golf Club's back nine rolls through an abandoned rock quarry along the Trinity River, featuring more trees and elevation changes.

Normally this is a very slow pace of play on Sunday's. But, it was chilly and windy so not very crowded and the pace was excellent. Greens were in great shape (a little slow) and fairways very good for December. I know they're trying to take the course private, but... With ClubCorp clubs being offered for about the same price with much more expansive facilities and the ability to play at 100's of different clubs for just greens fees I just can't see it. The practice facilities as Coyote are marginal at best and dismal for any "country club." It's a very nice track for a public course, but I just can't see it as a private club.

Great Day
I don’t know why I hadn’t played this course before, but I’ll definitely be back. Great layout, excellent conditions, I think we saw the cart girl 5 times during our round, hot food and bar outside waiting for us at the turn, plenty of facilities on the course. I don’t know if I’ve ever given a course 5 stars for value on a $70 round, but it was worth every penny.

Very windy and not many playing.
But Waiting every shot at the back nine since 4 sum showed up from nowhere.
We even complained by calling club house.

Coyote Ridge
Overall the course is in great shape. The greens are some of the best in the metroplex. The layout has some good variety of holes including some risk/reward holes. The clubhouse is under construction, but there is a currently a bar at the turn. There is a plan to take the course private. With that being said play here as soon as you can!

The course is in fantastic condition, with the fairways being in excellent condition. Greens were in great with no damage from the winter storms.
