About
Coyote Ridge Golf Club, opened in 1999, features some unusual holes that traverse a variety of unique terrain. Each nine is strikingly different -- the front plays through a burgeoning residential community, is generally wide open and void of trees, and takes on the characteristics of a links-style course.
Water comes into play six times on the front, including the extremely difficult ninth hole, which doglegs left around a lake that stretches all the way around the green. Survive the tee shot by bailing right if you have to, but consider laying up on the approach since the water bends all the way around and surrounds the green on three sides. You’ll still have the chance for an up-and-down par, and playing for bogey is much better that rolling into the turn after a double-digit disaster.
Also on the front, No. 7 is a fun par 3 because of the 70-foot drop in elevation. The tee shot goes 165 yards over water into a very wide, challenging green.
Coyote Ridge Golf Club's back nine rolls through an abandoned rock quarry along the Trinity River, featuring more trees and elevation changes.

Nice Course
I played this course at least ten years ago, forgot how nice it is and plays. Anyone going to Vegas that wants a nice, challenging course and has no problem driving an hour out of town, should go, well worth the $ and drive!
Staff
The staff on course was very friendly marshal & cart girls but the gentleman at the pro shop desk was very rude also the cart kept showing pick up pace when we were being held up on every hole it was very Annoying

Course
As far as the fairways and greens girl they were in great shape. However the sand traps were in very poor shape but I understand that problem is going to be solved soon. Once that is done it will be a great golf course.

Not Quite Troon Worthy
The bunkers are mostly unplayable w/ mesh fabric coming through the sand in almost every case. The balance of course is in nice shape. The clubhouse is under remodel so no amenities available and pro shop staff not very friendly. Lots of trash around the clubhouse. Troon appears to be investing but not quite there yet for areas highest daily fee green fee.

Amazing greens
Difficult greens in amazing shape… smooth and consistent. Course layout is challenging, somewhat fade friendly, fairways in great shape and roughs don’t penalize too badly at this length. 4 hours seemed to fly by, enjoyed the round.

Love this course
The course is mainly good shape, but I love the beauty of course. For the most part, you are surrounded by nature not a lot of houses. The par 3’s are fun.

Eh
Strict and rude staff (the cart guys/valet are super nice and awesome). Saw one of the staff yell at a guy on the range for not wearing a collared shirt. He wasn’t even there to play a round. Kind of weird for a public course and paying customer. I get dress codes, but you’re not that nice of a course.. get the stick out of your butt. The range mats are not great. There’s no way to tee off for practicing driving.
As for the course it’s in decent condition. Fairways are in great condition, greens could be better.. they are slow at the moment. Would consider this an above average course. The club is being remodeled atm.
I probably won’t play this again. Better courses for the same price.

Excellent conditions
The coarse is in Plush condition the staff was amazingly friendly especially the cart guy And It looks like the clubhouse in the locker rooms are being all re-done it looks like this club going to be a 5 star club Amazing place

Fun course but very challenging!
The course is in very good condition and the greens have recovered nicely from being punched about a month or so ago. Always a good course and will challenge all skill levels.

Very Sanded Green
The fairways were in good shape. The greens had just been sanded and not watered in yet, green in good shape otherwise.

Better than recent reviews
I was a bit wary after some of the recent reviews, but was pleasantly surprised.
Played on a Friday afternoon. The clubhouse is partially open and proshop was back in building. The course was in pretty good shape. Greens ran true. The layout has always been wonky. 10 is just a bad hole. And the finishing holes aren’t the best. But it’s a good test of golf. Played in 4 hours flat which is OUTSTANDING for a Friday afternoon.

Going private by the end of the year??? Review 9/17/21
The course is in very good shape, The dry bermuda grass rough is long and very difficult. The greens are in very well maintained... Not a course I would suggest walking, although it is allowed. Lots of creeks to cross, especially on the back nine.... We been playing there for years and it is in as good a condition as I can remember. Better play it soon. They are planning to go private by the end of 2021!
