About
Coyote Ridge Golf Club, opened in 1999, features some unusual holes that traverse a variety of unique terrain. Each nine is strikingly different -- the front plays through a burgeoning residential community, is generally wide open and void of trees, and takes on the characteristics of a links-style course.
Water comes into play six times on the front, including the extremely difficult ninth hole, which doglegs left around a lake that stretches all the way around the green. Survive the tee shot by bailing right if you have to, but consider laying up on the approach since the water bends all the way around and surrounds the green on three sides. You’ll still have the chance for an up-and-down par, and playing for bogey is much better that rolling into the turn after a double-digit disaster.
Also on the front, No. 7 is a fun par 3 because of the 70-foot drop in elevation. The tee shot goes 165 yards over water into a very wide, challenging green.
Coyote Ridge Golf Club's back nine rolls through an abandoned rock quarry along the Trinity River, featuring more trees and elevation changes.

Above Par for the Area!
We enjoyed our round at Coyote Ridge. It offered nice open fairways, with speedy greens to present a real challenge.
Prices were “slightly” high. $79 to play before 11am. $55 till 3pm, but the quality of the course, how they maintain it and it’s overall experience is worth it.
Nice driving range, chipping area and putting green to warm up on. Didn’t have it, but a lunch snack comes with the round too.
Overall, 4.5 outta 5! We’ll be back to play here again!!

The course was beautifully layed out,I really enjoyed the par 5s,greens were in great shape and really like that they had courtesy cart girl in the middle of the week with this Texas heat.

This course was underwhelming
There are a few things I liked about this course but many more that I disliked about it. The fairways were very well kept and fun to play, and some holes were very fun and challenging. The pace of play was horrible, 20 plus minutes behind the pace of play and multiple singles were on the course at a time. The greens were very inconsistent and frustrating, and at 7:50 P.M. you had to stop playing wherever you were regardless if you were done and return to the clubhouse so they have time to clean and sanitize the carts. This was very frustrating knowing there is about another hour of daylight left and you aren’t allowed to play anymore. They don’t tell you this until you arrive and for the $40 price tag for twilight I would steer clear. There are dozen better courses for better prices within a 15 min drive of this course.

The layout
The greens were awsome and the fairways were nice and soft. A lot better than the area courses I've played on since I moved to McKinney. I thought I was on a PGA course
I want to play it again but only if I get another deal on golf now otherwise to expensive for me. Great course thou..
