About
Coyote Ridge Golf Club, opened in 1999, features some unusual holes that traverse a variety of unique terrain. Each nine is strikingly different -- the front plays through a burgeoning residential community, is generally wide open and void of trees, and takes on the characteristics of a links-style course.
Water comes into play six times on the front, including the extremely difficult ninth hole, which doglegs left around a lake that stretches all the way around the green. Survive the tee shot by bailing right if you have to, but consider laying up on the approach since the water bends all the way around and surrounds the green on three sides. You’ll still have the chance for an up-and-down par, and playing for bogey is much better that rolling into the turn after a double-digit disaster.
Also on the front, No. 7 is a fun par 3 because of the 70-foot drop in elevation. The tee shot goes 165 yards over water into a very wide, challenging green.

two different layouts
2 different courses so to speak
front 9 is more what you expect from a resort type course - nice fairways and greens
back 9 - more rugged - not as "pretty" but also harder
I personally like the front 9 better
I will definitely come back when able
Need Rangers
Great course, well maintained. But its hard for me to go back to any course that had 4 groups backed up on 1 hole. We left after 11.

Nice course but a bit stinky
The course and clubhouse is really nice but during today's round there was a noticeable stench blowing in from the nearby Lewisville dump. It was really terrible. But the course is nice with a good mix of long and short holes with good mix of hazards.

Course never closes
I didn't play because of a large cold front with rain, high winds, thunder and lightning. When I called to see if the course was closed the person who answered said there were 2 I say again 2 carts out on the course.( only 2 carts on a Saturday morning obviously because of the weather). When i asked about the thunderstorm they said they never close. Consequently I couldn't get a GolfNow refund.

Play in season
This course has a fantastic layout, each hole is something different and challenges you to use every shot you have. The course was still in a dormant state from the winter. This made the fairways and greens very hard. It would be great to come back and play once everything greens up. Keep up the great work there!

Fun round
It is a fun course, the layout is challenging. I was disappointed with the greens, not the best at the moment. But the facilities and the pace of play was great, finished in 4 hours.

The front 9 and back 9 at two different courses, which is great, loved both! as in previous reviews the wet winter is taking it's toll on the back. A little difficult getting around with carts on path. Should be a beautiful tract in the Spring and Summer. See you soon!

Decent setup for a winter course
Tee boxes and greens were in pretty great shape considering it's winter. The pace of the greens seem to vary among holes. Love that they have GPS carts for the course and they offer to clean your clubs for you when you drop off the cart. I can see myself playing here pretty often and looking forward to returning during spring.

It was wet from night rain, and there was lots of water on the course, but it played pretty well.

I'd wait awhile!
This course is on our "regular" rotation, so we generally enjoy the course. To be honest, it has some major standing water issues caused by the draining of Lake Lewisville and it looks like it will take AWHILE to fully recover. I have heard that hole 10 is being "redesigned" which is long overdue as it is FAR too difficult for the average golfer (9 and 11 aren't far behind...it's a TOUGH 3 in a row!. One major annoyance is the large number of "cart path only" holes EVEN when the course is dry and in good shape. Clubhouse and staff are EXCELLENT. We'll be back but not until at least March!

Much Better Play
Second time out. Got out at 8:20am. Amazing. Was able to play quickly. Greens are so challenging. Love the bunker placements. Love the Course. New Favorite. But it does get packed up. I understand why. Beautiful course.

The poor Rain
The Poor Rain really took a whooping to this Course. Can’t wait till it finally dries up to play it again. The course was Sooo Packed and slow though. But that is golf. Nice and fun Course. Great Freaking Proshop!!!!
