Coyote Ridge Golf Club
About
Coyote Ridge Golf Club, opened in 1999, features some unusual holes that traverse a variety of unique terrain. Each nine is strikingly different -- the front plays through a burgeoning residential community, is generally wide open and void of trees, and takes on the characteristics of a links-style course.
Water comes into play six times on the front, including the extremely difficult ninth hole, which doglegs left around a lake that stretches all the way around the green. Survive the tee shot by bailing right if you have to, but consider laying up on the approach since the water bends all the way around and surrounds the green on three sides. You’ll still have the chance for an up-and-down par, and playing for bogey is much better that rolling into the turn after a double-digit disaster.
Also on the front, No. 7 is a fun par 3 because of the 70-foot drop in elevation. The tee shot goes 165 yards over water into a very wide, challenging green.
Coyote Ridge Golf Club's back nine rolls through an abandoned rock quarry along the Trinity River, featuring more trees and elevation changes.

My Round
Love the Course. Disappointed in the hospitality. Many courses don’t charge you playing another round. Saam Moon makes plenty of money. I also asked a simple question and was responded with a sarcastic statement. Again, the course was enjoyable. Work on the people skills with your staff.
Under water
After few weeks of heavy rain, the creeks were flooded to where the fairways were narrower than usual. The greens are still fast as usual.
Good course
Everything was good except
1. Range is closed on Wednesday mornings.
2. T boxes were a little long.
Excellent greens, very fast
A real challenge. Bring your A game.
Facilities are first class.
as much rain as we has had in the Dallas area the golf course played perfectly
Alright.
The course was in great shape. Especially after all the rain there was no standing water on the course
Course was it great shape
Overall the course was in great shape, shot my best game of the year there today 9 over par
Great overall experience
This course is usually in great shape and was this time as well.. Greens rolled beautifully. Nice mix of holes between target shots and bombs away holes. Staff is allways good. one of top clubhouses around.
Worth the play
The golf course is in great condition and the green role true. Somewhat fast but not crazy. Pin placement for really good and mad the putting challenging for all levels of play.
Excellent
As a regular visitor to Dfw area, definitely the best golfing experience: friendliness of staff, course, cart, clubhouse, food
First Timer
Had a very good time enjoying Coyote Ridge and the layout of the Course. Your Staff provided some of the best service I have encountered here in the Metroplex. I tip my hat to you all. I will most definitely be playing another round here soon.
Ridiculously slow every time
This is an objectively good course. It’s in great shape, has a good practice area and a friendly staff and it’s not too expensive. BUT they HAVE to stop letting five-somes play—especially on weekends. The first time I played here, the round took 5 and a half hours because of a five-some holding multiple groups up. Today, I had to skip 5 holes because there was another five-some playing from the tips backing everyone up. I finished the last 3 holes in the time it took them to get from tee to green on a Par 4. The only way a five-some should be playing from 7000+ yard tips on a Sunday is if it’s a 5-way playoff for the US Open.
Although the course is good, I can’t say I’d recommend this to experience to anyone after going through it twice.
Best Course in DFW
I played this course for the 1st time and I will be back. The best course in DFW I have played.
Great value
This was a great course for the $40 I paid. I would have paid double and still not have felt like I was being ripped off. I honestly would put this course up against some of the better public or semi-private courses in DFW. It had a great layout - challenging, but fair and the staff was present and friendly throughout the entire round. Go play this course!
Horrendously slow
This is used to be a course that I looked forward to playing as an upper tier course. This time was so bad, I will not come back. Poor scheduling of tee times. We were a two some, two some in front, and two some behind us. One group of three were taking multiple shots and holding up the entire course. Pace of play was miserable on a Friday morning. Waiting 10 minutes between EVERY shot! Reported slow conditions to the marshall on holes #5 and #10 did nothing. Fairways were almost gone and tight lies. Clubhouse person did not greet upon walking to counter, had to wait a minute while he was making notes. Greens were very nice, but all around greens were over watered and muddy playing conditions. Golf cups on every green were torn up, probably from some elderly gentlemen using their putter heads to wrangle the ball from the cup. Poor experience.
Hot!!!!
The course is in generally good condition. The greens are very good and SLICK. The fairways are getting very thin with predominantly tight lies except for the rough. Overall, well worth the money.
