About
Coyote Ridge Golf Club, opened in 1999, features some unusual holes that traverse a variety of unique terrain. Each nine is strikingly different -- the front plays through a burgeoning residential community, is generally wide open and void of trees, and takes on the characteristics of a links-style course.
Water comes into play six times on the front, including the extremely difficult ninth hole, which doglegs left around a lake that stretches all the way around the green. Survive the tee shot by bailing right if you have to, but consider laying up on the approach since the water bends all the way around and surrounds the green on three sides. You’ll still have the chance for an up-and-down par, and playing for bogey is much better that rolling into the turn after a double-digit disaster.
Also on the front, No. 7 is a fun par 3 because of the 70-foot drop in elevation. The tee shot goes 165 yards over water into a very wide, challenging green.

Best course I have played in Dallas
I’m moving to the area soon and trying to find a home course to live near. This is currently top of my list!
Waist of money
For the price I thought this would be a nice course. Wrong. Guy at the counter at checkin with the man bun wasn’t nice. The greens were terrible. Very challenging layout. Wish it was in better condition. And to not tell us at checkin that the course was in that bad of condition. Charge $90+ for the round, range balls are additional? With these conditions? Just a disappointment and a waist of $.
Potential
Golf course was ok. Greens were covered in crab grass. Amenities were good.

Keep expectations low
For what it cost green fee would expect better maintenance of green and fairways and bunkers all are in very poor condition

It's winter...
Considering our very cold spell in January, The course was in as good condition as can be expected. Pace of play was the best I've experienced in 10 years playing here. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Coyote Ridge Fun
It was great to get out to Coyote for a round with a close friend! The course was in excellent shape, played quick (3 1/2 hours) and the icing was the pretty weather. For a Monday the rate was $100/pp ( a little high). We considered Indian Creek but know after rains it is a soggy beast.

Bad greens make a bad round
Greens were rock hard and extra fast. Very hard to score when you hit GIR but cannot make simple putts.

Poor communication
I arrived at about 8 for a 9:10 tee time, we were advised there would be a frost delay so I asked if this would push our tee time, the clerk said 9:30. At 9, he comes out and says we have 10 minutes so I ask for some practice balls since we couldn’t warm up before 9 because of the frost delay, which I don’t really understand how the range on practice mats would be impacted by that. He refused to let me get some practice balls because we only had 10 minutes which I then remind him that he told me 9:30 earlier and he proceeds to tell me that the revised tee time was contingent on whomever checked in, which he did not, and again what does that have to do with my tee time. It’s not my fault someone didn’t show, how are you forcing me to tee earlier and not allow me to warm up.

Glass Top Greens
Holy cow! The greens were in good shape but man it was like putting on a glass table top.
The GOS wasn’t synced with the pins. It was very evident around the greens. The gps would show the pin in the back when it was actually in front. For example, it said we were 97 from the pin but when I used my range finder it was 53. Just double check your distance. Great course though.

Challenging Course
Course was challenging and in good condition. Pace is play was very slow especially on the back nine. We waited 20 minutes to tee off on the turn.
