Stonebridge at Newport

Great course, not crowded during the week. Plenty of dog legs and sand protected greens.

I like this place. Its in decent condition relative to the cost. The pace of play moved along well. Range balls are cheap and its a fun course with a lot of sand traps. Ill keep this course in my regular rotation around Houston.

The staff was great and the greens were fast. The course was challenging and in great shape.

I play this course frequently, and after a long period of being less than par maintenance, it is showing signs of improvement. The tee boxes look significantly better and greens still have a ways to go, but, are better than they were. Fairways are ok, not outstanding, but, not as bad as they were.

This is my home course and I am glad to see positive actions toward improvement, and I will continue to support itcr

The greens have greatly improved since I last played there. My son & I had a good game at the course.

Played here before and greens were in better shape. Heard they just aerated, so I'll be back soon to play on better greens.

It must have been great once

But now it's all a bit down trodden

First 9 that go into the forest is wonderful setting

Yet let down by the greens and bare fairways

Back 9 through what I can only guess were old resort accommodations is tight and the course conditions are poor

I felt as though I could be in the gardens of the apartments as there are no fences

This is the 20th time to play this course.

It has came a long way since it's recent purchase and new management. Course is undergoing upgrades to greens and tees along with sprinkler system upgrades.

New Gas Carts with ball/club washers onboard, nice new Pro Shop, and now has a Cart Gal serving Bloodies to start of the morning!

For one of the area golf courses available in the Northeast Houston. The greens in this course is above average. Congrats to the greens keeper, you are doing a good job. There are some parts of the greens that are barely with grass but under the current season that's understandable. Fairways need more TLC (dollar weeds and such). There are times that it ends up being a flyer lie in the middle of the fairway.

Definitely going back to play. Enjoyed it and would recommend to friends. See you soon!!

Staff was super friendly, clubhouse was clean and well organized. Only problem with the course was greens really needed some attention.

Greens were brown, no hole markers at tee boxes, but it was still a good day of golf for the price we paid.

My 13yr old son and I had a great time playing this course. It is a very nice course, Beautiful woods surrounding most holes. Even enjoyed a little wild life company with the turtles at the pond and we spotted a bald eagle. Course only has like 2 water hazards. Lots of woods, brush and residential back yards if you don't stay on the fairway but we had no problem with that. We both lost maybe 2 balls each and actually found about 7 balls total, that was a fist leaving with more balls than we came with, lol. Pace was great never felt rushed and group in front moved along well. Really enjoyed the ball and club cleaner attached to the cart, that came in very very handy! One thing I will say is that I wish each hole was marked. We accidentally started on the back nine and didn't realize it till my gps showed me on hole 13. But I definitely look forward to returning an playing this course as often as I can. Even think I will use this course to help gauge my playing score average because it was so much fun.

Nice course for the price. Many improvements have been made since the last time I played this course. Greens need a little more attention.

The course was ok the greens were dead but it's late February. For 13 bucks a person it was a great value.
