About
Turnberry Golf Club may not have the length of its sister course located only 20 minutes away, Eagles Nest, but it has the same challenging character and unique layout. Molded from abandoned quarries, massive outcroppings of earth were recreated to look like the seaside dunes of Eagles Nest. This 3,400-yard, executive layout has sparse vegetation, generous green complexes, and strategically placed bunkers. The golf course begins and ends with a long par 4 with an interesting variety of par 3s in between. Each hole was designed completely unique from one another to emphasize variety and playability. At Turnberry Golf Club, golfers will be forced to use every club in their bag.

Golfer Reviews
Well maintained exec course
Great exec course, well maintained and some challenging holes. My major gripe is that the course only has 2 par 4, (1st and last) all other holes are par 3
Irons, irons, irons
Go there to work on your long and short irons!
Very challenging track
Tuurnberry Aug 31
Thoroughly enjoyable experience aa Turnberry.
Golf course is an absolute treat with first rate conditions providing for a nice stroll in the park. Do yourself a favour and try this unique layout. You wont be dissapointed.
Why is there no tall tree in the course? Need to have access to toilets at hole #9
Tall and big trees are needed in this course. Sometimes it is really very hot and shades would help, especially because most of the holes are cart path only. Walking back and forth each hole in the heat makes it difficult to have energy to play.
Need to have at least one more toilet in the course. It's difficult to hold until we reach hole #13.
What a beautiful gem of a short course
This is an incredibly beautiful short executive course. Probably the nicest I've ever played. The Carrick layout with mounds and views, and the green undulations make this a shooter's golf course. Be careful because the greens run well and if you're on the wrong side of the hole, it's a challenge.
The one thing that is challenging is that the pace is slow even though we started early, and we were waiting on every hole. But the conditions are stellar. The other thing is for an executive course, this is a little bit on the expensive side. But overall, a stellar executive golf course that everyone should play!
Great track
Best described as a hidden gem. Kudos to greens/maintenance - very lush and well maintained. Three out of our foursome played it for the first time and loved the course and promised to be back.
Only suggestion for improvement: please have directions between holes #4 clearly marked to #5 and #6. We actually got lost - from hole #4 and ended up on hole #8!
And also on hole #16 -- please clearly mark the way to hole#17. We never found hole #6. That was how poorly marked the course was unless you play it a few times, it takes a while to figure out where you are going next.
Way too slow
Usually this course on average should be no more that 2.5 hrs to play the 18. This took more 4.5hrs. No marshal on-site to get the pace moving.
