Enjoyable Round
Course was not crowded. As a twosome, we were able to play in a little over 3 hours without having to wait on anyone. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Greens were in good shape and holding approach shots well due to recent rains. Sugartree always provides a challenge with lots of trees if you are not in the fairway. This course is more protected from the wind than most in the area. Saw a couple of bucks and several does running around the course.
Perfect day for golf
from the staff to the new carts to the course. just a wonderful experience. all the way around. finished in just under 4 hours.
Needs rain
The greens are a little burnt and need water. The pace is always a crap shoot out there w the members convening in groups of 6-8 for their weekly games. Was slow today. But the course is always fun and the wildlife is beautiful. Deer everywhere. We drove from the mid cities. It’s normally 5 stars, but not this trip. Overall, it’s good. Will be back in the spring.
Placement course
Great course to practice ball control and placement. Good mixture of distance and doglegs
Recent rains
The course was in fairly good condition considering the recent rain. It’s a good layout with straight holes, holes that favor slicers and hookers.
Good course
The front line was in good shape the back nine needed a little work maintenance wise
Excellent
This course is so different than the other 30 courses I’ve played in the metroplex. Great design, imagination and care went into SugarTree. We will be back soon.
Good not great
Slow pace of play. Uncut tee boxes. Sloppy mowed greens.
Great time
Me a friend played in just over 3 hours started at 7 am and was back truck leaving course at 10:15 greens rolled true the course is looking they done a lot of clearing all around the course really opens the place upade it seem more big time golf like big golf courses. Lots of fun and good challenge everyone should go and injoy.
Slow! Slower! Slowest!!!
5 hour 20 minute round. 3 hours to complete front nine. No excuse!! Will not play again!
On course restrooms
Their are NO restrooms on the course. As an added note, the course is surrounded by homes. And yes, I would recommend this course to a friend and tell them their is NO on course restrooms on the course.
Sugar tree golf
Me and my son played it for the 1st time yesterday and there were some very challenging holes. You have to watch the river on the front 9. Make sure to keep the ball straight. If you're a weekend Warrior, make sure to bring a few extra balls.
Course has many blind shots so playing for the first time can be tricky. Overall the course is great and the greens for the most part are excellent.
Great course
We haven’t played out there in several years. They have made a ton of updates and the course is beautiful.
Tee boxes and greens were in rough shape. There are a lot of courses closer to the DFW area that don’t cost as much and have better conditions.
