Golfer Reviews
Still Worth It....
For whatever reason, new ownership turned this classic
par 70 course into a 72 and the front 9 has been somewhat bastardized by that. But the back 9 is a pure joy. Wishing that they hadn't lost the landing spot of #14 as that should be the signature hole on the course as you trapse around the Brazos. One of the hardest par 5's in all of Texas. Still...great course. Go check 'em out!
Worth the drive
Seems like a well kept secret. No one in front or behind me all day. Challenging layout and a great value.
Nice Staff, facilities are TIRED
Whatever it is they are charging, it’s not worth the drive.
Bad tee boxes and fairways
Lots of weeds on tee boxes and fairways. A lot of dirt areas in fairways. Have always heard how top rated this course is, disappointed.
Course Shape
The T boxes and Fairways were in terrible shape. I’m assuming it’s because the time of year.
The pace of play was extremely slow, it’s seems that the locals take advantage of the course.
It’s just my opinion.
Beautiful scenery!
Great shape considering it is still winter. They’re making good changes to the course and investing in the club house. Tough course but a real gem. You have to have a complete game.
Great layout, slightly bare conditions
I wish this course wasn’t so much in the middle of nowhere. I really enjoyed the layout because I love elevation changes. You really had to think your way through some of the holes. Course was in decent condition. It is still winter but they could’ve moved some of the Teebox markers around to get better grass.
Winter Conditions
Greens are in great shape and are receptive to approach shots. Fairways are dormant with very thin lies in many places. Looking forward to spring bringing growth to the fairways. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Played with no waiting in less than 3.5 hours. Saw 6 hawks around the course.
Love the course
Nice staff and love the course. My only complaint: they’ve got to do something with the par 5 on the back nine next to the brazos. The landing area for your tee shot is a massive ground under repair area.
Greens nice and fast!!
Greens were in very good shape for this time of year. Fairways and Tee boxes need alot of work to be considered a top tier golf course in the DFW area. They look like they are puting in the effort to bring it back into good shape. Staff was very friendly.
