BEAUTIFUL GOLF COURSE ALONG THE BRAZOS
FIRST TIME I USED GOLFNOW AND EVERYTHING WENT WITHOUT A HITCH.
SUGARTREE IS SO SCENIC AND CHALLENGING. COURSE IS IN EXCELLENT SHAPE FOR FEBRUARY IN TEXAS. THE STAFF ARE ALWAYS FRIENDLY.
A great track in excellent condition for this time of the year
Course is in good shape, especialliy the greens.Green fees competitive but even better with GolfNow discount.
greens excel for winter ,very nice roll
i liked the course, want to play in spring and summer
Fun course
It was worth the drive. Many scenic holes with undulating greens. Local knowledge would help a bunch.
Be ready for a challenge
I drove out to this course from Fort Worth on a Saturday morning and it took a little over an hour from downtown. This course in my opinion is one for a 10 handicapper or less. 10-12 of the tee boxes face into elevated "blind" fairways that if it's your first time playing there, you have no idea what's beyond the crest of the fairway which makes you out guess your drive and can lead to trouble. I wish I would have went in the Spring, I'm sure it's beautiful, but in the winter the fairways are just brown carpet, water runoff in places made the fairway unplayable, leading to my last observation, LOTS of WATER, take plenty of balls, you will lose a few here.
Outstanding
The greens are just outstanding right now. The course is in great shape. Played when a cold front was supposed to come in so there was no one on the course when we teed off.
Sugar Tree is a very challenging golf course just keep the ball in the play.
Really enjoy playing Sugar Tree. Its a beautiful golf course and in excellent condition. The course has a ton of trees and therefore very tight. With the trees overhagging in some of the fairways you need to be knowledgeable on where to play the ball to get a decent shot to the green. It makes you think. Love the course.
This course does have great features
This was a good course to challenge me and make me work for my score.
Bring your "A" game.
ST is not long, but does require very accurate tee shots and iron shots. You might want to also buy the course guide as our GPS system couldn't call up the course. The greens will hold anything, so long as you can hit them (the average green is small and narrow with lots of undulation). Be very accurate as there are really not many "bailout" areas - you will either be in great shape or have not chance. This course is not designed to make you think, it's designed to make you choke.
This course has great views.
I play this course often. A challenge and terrific experience
Sugar Tree
The course is in great shape. I have played this course in the past and I think it is in the best shape I have ever seen it in. Well worth the trip and you won't be disappointed. Your shots have to be planned out and it is a challenging course to play. The staff were very friendly. We played at a leasurely pace - no one in front of us and no one pushing on us and still fininshed in 3+ hours.
Hidden Gem
I have played Sugartree for many years now and this is my favorite course in the entire metroplex. They know how to take care of this beautiful course and the greens are out of this world! Bring your game to play this course. Challenge on every hole and the tree's are beautiful but deadly if you find your way in or near them. This course is a must play and well worth the hour drive for me to play. I promise a challenge, but the beauty of this hidden gem is also a promise I will make. Deer, Ducks, Birds are always seen playing at this amazing course. Truly an amazing place to see. I want to retire at Sugartree someday......Seriously! Don't forget to call in your order at #9 tee box with the land line phone they have stationed next to the ball washer. Be sure and order the cheeseburger.......it is that good! Sugartree is just a special place every golfer needs to experience!
Tough but fun. Lots of excellent holes & great condition
This is a great value course. It's also a hidden gem. During the week not very crowded. If you think you've got your game mastered, play this course to find out if you're right!
love the challange
This course will make you think, play golf here and your skills as a golfer will improve.
One of my favorites. Great layout, conditions, and value.
Super layout with a nice variety of holes - no boring repetitions here. Many doglegs. Only one par 4 or 5 with a direct view to the green. Good variety of par 3s. Very little housing on the course. And in great shape; very green; greens a little slow, but true.
