Cedar Crest Golf Club
About
Cedar Crest Golf Club in Murfreesboro sprawls across rolling farmland accented with groves of mature trees. The fairways on the front nine are wide open but they become narrower and tree lined on the back nine. The greens play fast and true and they are also well conditioned. There are not many sand traps to contend with but a smattering of elevation changes throughout the golf course cause an occasional uneven lie. Seasoned golfers looking for a challenge won't find it here but what you will find is a relaxed atmosphere that is ideal for a quick, casual round that is player friendly enough for beginners. In addition to the course, Cedar Chest Golf Club offers extensive practice facilities including a driving range and a two-tiered practice green.

Great Course
Enjoyed the course and thought the layout was very interesting and fun. Staff was certainly friendly and answered all of our questions. First time to play here & will certainly be back to play again.
Disappointed!
Live next to my this course and really enjoy playing it. Had a random afternoon free up and was told they dont book singles! So im penalized for not having a friend available to play?!?
Doesn't seem right. There is also no where to practice chipping amd the range is ALWAYS off matts due to it being encased by trees. That is nice in July/Aug, but can never hit off grass. So I drive to other courses in the area to practice and play. Seems like a huge miss as they have plenty of space to add these amenities .
decent
The course is decent but not the best in the area. At $48 for nine holes, I won't be coming back.
Great option
While the course was slow it was due to some groups. Not much could be done. But the course plays well. Is harder than it looks but is a lot of fun
Poor Conditions
It appears that they just sanded the Greens but it was consistently too much sand with pebbles so putting was pretty much nonplayable, the roll of the ball consistantly gathered a well defined stripe of sand. When they mowed they tore up the tee boxes as well as part of the fairways which I found a surprise since all winter and early spring it was cart path only. Used to play here often but looking for another place to play because the condition of the course was unacceptable.
Fairways and tee boxes need alot of help.
Fairways Need a lot of work very bare grass is like hens teeth hard to find. Tee boxes muddy or dirt again no grass. The greens were in excellent shape. The pro shop guy was seemed like he didn’t want Be there. Not very friendly. The pace of play was great because no one was on the course because the course conditions weren’t that great.
Solid Course
Solid course, maybe not worth $70 to play but with a cart on the weekend that's about an average price. Would recommend to at least try out.
OVER PRICED
Weekday Walking Senior Rate of $43!
Have been there many times and have been going since they opened. But they just got the last $1 out of me.
For a course that has bare fairways, crap for fee boxes and the grounds keepers deciding to what appeared to randomly cut greens versus getting out in front of the paying customers so, at least, the greens might have some consistency to them.
Place needs some leadership and reality check on their valve!
The Old VA Course in Mboro had better tee boxes and fairways!
Good course
Course has a good layout and greens are in good shape. The Tee boxes are in need of a lot of work as they were bare of grass and hard to find a level spot.
Tee boxes are a joke
Tee boxes are completely mud and dan - there is 0 grass
Nice, but slow
The course was nice, decent conditions for February and the staff was very friendly. The pace of play was terrible. There was a 2-some in front of us and a 3-some I. Front of them who seemed to be the culprits; hitting multiple shots off every tee box. It was painful.
Great Round
Greens were in great shape. Course was good for this time of year. Always a great round.
