Cedar Crest Golf Club
About
Cedar Crest Golf Club in Murfreesboro sprawls across rolling farmland accented with groves of mature trees. The fairways on the front nine are wide open but they become narrower and tree lined on the back nine. The greens play fast and true and they are also well conditioned. There are not many sand traps to contend with but a smattering of elevation changes throughout the golf course cause an occasional uneven lie. Seasoned golfers looking for a challenge won't find it here but what you will find is a relaxed atmosphere that is ideal for a quick, casual round that is player friendly enough for beginners. In addition to the course, Cedar Chest Golf Club offers extensive practice facilities including a driving range and a two-tiered practice green.

Beautiful greens
I have just recently I taken up golf but I have played several courses and this one is beautiful!! Great views, friendly staff, nice equipment, well kept course, and very nice greens!! I will play here again!!!
Great Customer Service
My buddies and I signed up via Golfnow to play 18. The day was cold and rainy, but the course was open and since it was pre-paid we tested the elements. By the 5th hole we were freezing and wet, and packed it up. I was able to get a complete refund thanks to the staff at Cedar Crest and Golfnow, and will definitely return when the weather warms up. It is a course that has improved over the last two years, challenging but terribly difficult and a good place to enjoy a round with friends.
Can't Wait to Play Again
Found this course through GolfNow. Course was in good shape, grass was still dead from winter, but greens were in really good shape. I definitely want to play again in spring/summer when it is greener.
Can you hit it straight?
Cedar Crest is a good, fair challenge. Looks deceptively open, but it's much more critical to hit it down the middle than to bomb it. A number of good risk to reward value holes. Course was in good shape.
Great course! Good greens, friendly staff.
Went there on business trip, nice location. Looked good with trees in fall, general play was good. Greens were in really good condition for this time of the year especially. Staff was friendly and helpful. Price range was pretty good. Overall, great public course.
Greens were in great shape!
Tight but fair! Greens were well maintained and extremely visible as they were very green and not allowed to brown this time of year.
Have been playing this course since it opened.
We have always enjoyed Cedar Crest but the $40.00 weekend rate is too high for the conditions and we always choose a cheaper option. Paying 28 through Golf Now is fair and we will continue to play the course on the weekends at that rate.
Very Unfriendly Staff Pro Shop!!
Told me over the phone to come over and they could work me in, no problem she said. Once I arrived, was told very rudely by a short guy with a beard "we can't work you in". No apology, were sorry nothing. I just grabbed my bag and left. This was a Friday afternoon, nobody was on either tee (#1 or #10). I played every course around the are and every time I go to Cedar Crest it is a bad experience.
Super nice course,excellent value
I love this course, super close to home, always in good shape, and a great staff. Very good lay out for a hacker like me on the front, some tight fairways on the back. My favorite hole is number nine, nice pond with a up-hill second shoot. All in all a great course for a good price. If your in the Boro check it out.
Cedar crest
Good course for the money. The greens were marked, but that just lazy golfers.
The course fairways are burnt, hard to hit ball off fairways. If you hit a good drive the ball would bounce off line and leave you in trouble

Bent Greens, overwatered. Fairways under watered. Rough pitiful.
There are better courses around Nashville for the money. I am willing to bet all of them are. Took an hour to play the front and two 1/2 to play the back. Have a feeling that the regulars were allowed to tee off on the back side and they spend their time looking for their golf balls and 15 more. Won't be back.
Good but not great
Nice country course. The folks that run the place are nice, but there is not enough help when the place is busy. There was a group a few holes ahead of us that were really slow.. they were 2 holes behind, and I mean 2 Full, empty holes in front of them... and there was no ranger to speed up play.. We left after 15 holes (4 hours 15 minutes) because we had plans... However, the place is in good condition, and the layout is worth the price.
I would play again, if I knew I had 5 hours or more to devote to the round.
Fun golf course in good condition.
This was my first round on this course. We played after 2 PM on Sunday and were given a great rate. The course had facilitated a big tournament earlier. We went out as a twosome and were behind two other twosomes, which were behind a really slow foursome. The foursome let one of the twosomes play through but it didn't help much. There were no marshals anywhere to help so we were waiting on every shot. At the turn, the only person we saw was the girl at the food stand. Aside from the slow pace of play, we enjoyed the course which was in good condition. The greens were a bit slower than I like but they rolled well and were consistent. I like this course and will likely go back and would recommend you try it.
This course has great features!!!
This course is a great vale for the money, from the friendliness of the staff . To the well maintained greens. The course stands out for its challenging holes .
You did not have a tee time so your 1 star rating is irrelevant.
