Play this course
This is a really fun country golf course. A lot of interesting short holes that require some thought about what to hit off the tee. And those downhill par 3's are just really fun. And it's usually not busy during the week. Most of the reviews that complained about the round taking a long time were played on weekends. Any golf course within 40 miles of Nashville is going to be slow on a weekend. There are just so many people playing golf now.
The course is short and mainly favors a fade (which I like) but there are a few holes where a draw is the shot. Despite being fairly short, the ball-gobbling woods are RIGHT NEXT to the greens and fairways on a lot of holes, and that makes certain holes pretty demanding - looking at you, par-3 6th, you evil hole.
And then there's the long par-4 14th. It's 425 from the whites. The ENTIRE hole slopes to the right - fairway, rough, green, everything. Unless you can carry the ball at least 240 (which I can't) you're looking at a layup or trying to hit a high, straight 200-yard shot to a right-sloping, very fast green...off a fade lie - with trees all along the left and the woods ready to gobble up any ball you push or fade too much. I really like a golf course with one seriously hard hole, and this one is it! I hate and love this hole in equal measure.
A lot of reviews are griping about the greens. A few of the greens are in rough shape, yes. But they're way better than they were. And MOST of the greens are good and roll just fine. The problem greens are 5, 8, 14, and 16. The bunkers are going to be fixed soon. Although I don't mind getting free relief and not having to worry about bunkers, so that's not a gripe in my book!
The tee box on 5 does need to be redone, which I'm sure they're well aware of. It's just dirt and it slopes heavily downhill. I usually hit from the next tees down the hill, which technically aren't in use, but really should be. There's grass there and it's a level lie. And it's shorter!
Slow Play
Had to pull out after 9 holes pace play was way too slow.course wasn't too bad for this time of year. Ive seen it worse. They are working on it. Bunkers unplayable
Great condition for late November
You can’t beat the price and condition of the greens this time of year. Tee boxes and bunkers were in rough shape but it did not bother me or my group. I will play again here in the future.
Overall loved the course and the different topography. Tee boxes and greens need some maintenance but still a lovely place!
Really enjoyed the course
The course is in great shape, the staff was terrific, I will be back again
Needs work
Not bad overall need bunkers filled in or add sand just weed pits now
Pace was terrible
Pace was terrible. Ended up only playing 13 holes in 4 and half hrs. I was a single player. Not worth 41 dollars and a pace that would make dechambeau look like he is wearing rocket shoes.
Up and Down, Up and Down
Love this course, dollar for dollar you don't find better... Very rare to be waiting, very rare to feel rushed from behind. YOU DO NOT WALK THIS COURSE!!!
Very scenic, challenging enough to entertain the avid golfer. Open enough for the average golfer to focus on a solid, smart game.
Are the greens in perfect shape? Are the traps constantly maintained? NO. But you probably just booked the round for $25 or less sooooo... It's about the fun.
Great value golf
Pebble Brooke offers golf at a fantastic value. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The course offers a challenging experience but still great for beginners. My only knock on the course is the greens. They are not maintained very well and the bunkers are overrun with weeds and grass. Other than that, great golf.
