Pebblebook
The course has not been as well maintained as I remember it from years past. But with all the Covid-19 stuff going on, that is somewhat undertandable. Still a good value for the money. I hope they put some money into the course and restore it to what I remember it being.
Great day of golf.
Went to Pebble Brook with my dad this morning. We went off the tee at 7:30 and loaded in the parking lot at 11:00. It was great with the weather and being able to get 18 finished in 3.5 hours at a leisurely pace. Course was in great shape, with some of the greens a little slow in the morning, speeding up as the day went on. A few tee boxes needed some work but most were in great shape. The bunkers are unplayable, couldn't tell if they were being cleaned out to redo or just overgrowth in there. Regardless, the course was in nice shape and we really enjoyed our round this morning.
Bad experience turned great
This was my first time playing Pebble Brook. When I arrived about 25 minutes before my tee time (just enough time for a few swings on the range and some putts) I was told that there was at least a 30 minute delay due to the fact that they didn't have enough carts (they didn't say why, but guessing due to COVID?). The woman who was helping me check in wasn't very friendly and seemed to not really care. She charged me for range balls but didn't give them to me until I came back and asked where I was supposed to get them, which was from her. But after about 35 minutes of waiting after our tee time was supposed to be, we got our cart and went out on the course. The course was a lot of fun, in good condition (minus the fact that they did not upkeep their bunkers at all. Filled with weeds). There were some spots that were muddy, but it rained the day before, so that was fine. Also, some of their tee boxes were in bad shape, but the course itself was a lot of fun. You drive your cart through forested areas, they have two par 3s that are less than 180 yards where the green is at least 100 feet below the tee boxes (so a fun shot!), as well as some holes that go along the river, which is fun.
If it wasn't for the fun course and how picturesque it is, I wouldn't suggest it to people based on my experience, but the holes helped to make it a good experience, and a place I would revisit.
I thoroughly enjoyed the entire round! Very challenging but fun course! Played with 2 gentlemen who play there often. Greens need a little attention especially before it gets too hot. I will play there again this year!
Memorial Day Golfing
9:00 Tee time, no line at checkin desk. COVI-19 guidelines posted. Check in Staff was friendly check in was quick and we were our way. #1 tee had a little backed up everyone kept their social distance, after that it took about 4.5 hours to play 18 holes. Course was averaged on most holes along a few holes that needed some TLC. It was great to get out and done before rain. God Bless American and bless those families that have service and those who have paid the ultimate price for the freedom we ENJOY!
PebBrook Round
This is a very nice course for the $$. When I play here it is always busy but the pace of play is good. I enjoy this course and the handling of the whole Covid19 thing is done very well here. It does not interfere your round. I enjoy this course and will play here more because of the fun I have when I play here. Definitely recommend this course for a pleasing round of golf!!
Good little course
tee boxes were a little rough and greens weren't very consistent. Still a lot of sand on the greens. Bunkers were pretty much unplayable if you found yourself in one. All in all a good day on the course and no wait at any tee boxes. Just need to keep working the grounds and this could be a pretty nice course.
Pebble Brook Round
Pebble Brook is an enjoyable challenge with some varied requirements off the tee from uphill shots to deep valley drop ins to green hiding doglegs. The greens were in good shape and much improved from 2019. The staff at PB work hard to control the rain softened soil in the low lying areas. Also, the staff is very friendly and helpful. PB will be one of my go to courses this summer.
Pebble Brook
This is an interesting course. The issue today is the excessive rain we’ve had this year. Course was very wet and some fairways were almost unplayable. I do enjoy this course when the conditions are good.
Bad From The Start
We knew things weren’t going to go well when we were told it would cost an additional $20 to have one additional cart that we wanted to adhere to the Covid-19 requirements. Then we were told that hole 5 was closed and we would need to skip it.
The greens were in terrible shape as they didn’t look like they had been cut in a week. Very fuzzy, slow and bumpy.
First bad review I’ve given since using GolfNow but this course earned it.
Greens recently aerated and sanded and one hole closed but no mention when booked and on GN. Course charging extra for not sharing a cart. Course overall in bad condition.
First issue I had was the fact that after paying full price for a round I was informed the front nine was closed for maintenance. No.10 hole should have been closed as well and part of 18 was bad. So that left 7 holes that were in somewhat decent shape. Lots of "patched" areas on too many greens for the price. I tried to upload some pics without success but there were other bad scenes. One of the trash cans was overflowing with beers can and about a dozen lay on the ground next to it as well. Ball washers missing towels, tee boxes were mostly dirt on several holes. Just seem to be penny pinching in an industry that is tough to be successful with that approach. I also played 12 Stones this week and the differences were glaring. A quick check of the parking lots explained a lot. Not many at PB but TS was jammed packed with some parking in overflow across the street. And TS is pretty good but far from a country club. I realize this course suffers a great deal with excess moisture, but when you don't adjust your prices and many of the other services/condition isn't up to snuff then you're making your golfers suffer as well. Locals will likely continue to visit but in it's current condition, I believe many of those with options will not. I just can't do it myself. BTW- I played TS for $20 for 18 with a cart so a much better value to me.
It seems like some reviews just want to destroy and tear down a business while not having the golf balls to even leave your name. Your review would have been really insulting if it were factual at all. 4/22 the whole course was open with the exception of #5. So what day did you come play?
Our prices are less than TS except if you are playing on a hot deal.
We want everyone to have a great time at our course. We have lowered our prices because we have been making improvements to it. We are not owned by a group of investors, a big corporation or a city municipality. We have put everything we have back into the course.
The trash was an oversight and unacceptable we will give you that one point. But to come on here and completely trash our business while elevating another course stinks as much as that trash.
Updated review
Yesterday I had a bad experience with Pebble Brook. The issues were overly sanded greens, rude customer service, and being charged fro an additional cart. After a long conversation with management about these issues, I feel they are being resolved. Yes, there are some issues, but it is great to see an owner who is being very proactive to fix them.
This is a very fun course to play. I've been golfing here on and off for over 5 years and almost always have a flawless experience. I look forward to playing here again.
Worst course I’ve ever played
Absolute worst course I’ve ever played. Pace of play is awful. Course layout is the worse I’ve ever seen with a par 4 150yrd hole. DO NOT PLAY HERE
Great Course
Incredible views, beautiful fairways, with a couple rough spots on some of the greens. Still not fully in season, but the greens seem to be coming in nicely! Can’t wait to return!
Another wonderful day out golfing.
I have golfed here for years. Golf courses ebb and flow just like any other natural venue. That being said the greens were in fantastic shape except for one, which was sanded (for good reason I suspect.) the two girls in the pro shop/snack bar are sweethearts. If you can’t get along with them, you might want to examine YOUR attitude.
All in all, it was a most pleasant day, and I wish I were a better golfer, so I could challenge it more.

Pleasant surprise
Going back to this course, I had my reservations because the last time I played, the course was rough. To my surprise the course has bounced back. The greens were in great shape and the course was more than playable. The bunkers we're all rock and mud and hole 5 is unplayable at the moment. They just put new sod down and it was close but not set yet. Other than that, the course was good. Would definitely recommend and will play again.
Thank you very much for acknowledging our hard work and continued effort. We will continue to strive to be better.
Taken Advantage Of!
Books as a twosome but was told when be arrived at the course we had to pay an additional $14.00 per per to ride separate carts. People that booked as individuals where not charged an additional fee. Was not mentioned when I called the course or anywhere on their website. Due to Covid-19 most courses are supporting riders in individual carts at no additional charge. I believe this is a terrible way Pebble Brook to profit during these dangerous and dire times!!!
We would like to apologize for the lack of information on our website. That will be corrected. We also would like to distinguish between taking advantage of our customers and the actual cost of overhead and running a golf course. Pebble Brook Golf Course is privately owned, public course and not run or subsidized by a city or government municipality. Charging for a single use cart or an additional rider is not a new practice. Our course has had this policy way before Covid-19. We are trying to find a balance for our customers and our business during these unique and trying times. We are literally trying keep our employees working and our business open.
Improving Steadily
Fun Course. New owners are working steadily on improvements. Fairways are good & new sod is on the way according to the owner. to repair the few greens that need extra help. Greens are looking good with the exception of one par 3.
Thank you for your fair review. While we are aiming for 5 stars we appreciate the honest course evaluation. We have been working hard to make improvements to the course. The rain has been the biggest hinderance to us completing our projects. We have sod ordered and it should be here this weekend and #5 repaired on Sat March 21. We have some tee markers ordered for the 4 holes that got washed out in the last flash flood. Then we will continue with bunkers. We are a small, family owned course and greatly appreciate all the support.
Way overpriced for the condition, $ is certainly not going back in the course...
I have never written a review but I had to here. I played this course probably over a decade ago and it was enjoyable. I hate to see what it has turned into. It is in absolutely HORRIBLE condition—missing tee markers on 50% of holes, greens are just ridiculous, not sure I ever hit off a piece of grass down in the bowl(majority of front 9) and I hit every fairway, it’s just in bad shape and I think it is just to overwhelmingly bad to recover. I paid more to play this place than Greystone, one of the best courses in the state, the day before. The difference is night and day! This place has so much potential but it has been neglected as bad as any course I have ever seen. Very disappointing as I had family in town playing with me and they were just disgusted with the course conditions. I wish them good luck but it’s going to take years of very hard work and money to get this track back. I hope they surprise me but unfortunately I think it is too far gone. I won’t be back until I hear otherwise, it’s just in a sad state.
Château Élan Stay & Play Golf Package
Thank you for your review. We are aiming for 5 stars and striving everyday to improve the course. I'm not sure the last time you played but we have made some drastic improvements in the last year since we took it over. The greens have been our priority and we will begin working on the bunkers this fall/winter. At this time there are no bunker rakes and they are to be played as Under Construction due to no contact (COVID). During the busy golf season we don't want the course/bunkers under heavy construction. We hope the next time you come play you will notice some improvements. I can assure you that every dollar we make is being put back into the course. We too want the course restored and are doing everything we can everyday to make this a reality.
