Is it still a good value?
Ahh pebble brook, a once great establishment, which had great value, good carts, and facilities that were maintained. Gone are those sentiments, aside from it being cheap. Though it begs the question, if the cost is still the same yet everything else is worse, is it still a good value?
To start, if you book through golf now as a single, they will ask you to pay for a cart unless you want to ride with a random. Every cart, and yes every cart, had a chunk taken out of the driver side seat. Most carts had bald front tires and also the front windshields were missing or broken. Two of the three carts in our foursome had steering that were loose and would pull randomly each direction. With bald tires and questionable steering, those steep hills become the thrill you might not have been looking for. The maintenance crew was still mowing on and around the fairways/ greens at 9:30 with no regard for who was on what hole so you will need to wait for them to clear the area. Tee box markers were also missing or just laying around throughout all 18 leaving you guessing where to start.
Yes, it’s cheap. Yes, the course is in alright shape for a muni course. If you are good to look past the rest, go for it, though I’d argue until the carts are maintained to a reasonable level, you skip this course and go to the many other cheap muni courses in Nashville. Cmon pebble brook, you can do better.
Great Course for the Money
I was told not to go to this course but was extremely please after I did. The course layout is awesome, but they obviously didn't have the money to finish the design. The Tee box and fairway grass is a little long, but the greens were overall good. The carts and paths are in bad shape but good enough. This course is worth 45$ dollars to play all day. I would definingly go back especially if I lived in a 10 mile radius. Tis course is now in better shape than Oak hills in the area and less waiting on the tees.
No rain checks offered. Course not in good shape. Carts have no windshields or bag protectors
Course did not offer rain checks which is unheard of. Golf carts had no windshields on them or bag protectors which is also unheard of. Course was not in good shape. Sand traps were basically ground under repair. Tee boxes and greens were in poor shape. Would not recommend.
Challenging but fun
This is a tough layout but it is fun if you like a challenge. My only criticism on this round was that the tees were not cut very well and some of the markers weren’t even there (but that could be because I played super early and they were cutting and setting up). It also seemed like a lot of the bunkers were out of commission as well. Other than that it was still in good shape and I had a great time.
Better and better
I played here thee times in the last 3 weeks, keeps improving, little by little. There are some areas that are still rough, and only one green in bad shape. Otherwise the course is playing well and somewhat difficult. Well worth playing.
Give the course some love….
Great layout and value, especially thru golf now. Course seems to be in declining condition for a while now. A good place to play on a budget though!
Improving by the month
It’s been quite some time since I’ve played here, only bcuz of conditions. I am thoroughly impressed with the progress being made, the efforts of this privately owned facility, and the friendliness of the staff.
Things are much improving, I’ll be back on more than a rare occasion. The scenery and cart rides are spectacular.
Highly recommended giving Pebble Creek another shot if you’ve been disappointed b4, and for 1st timers here. Go For It!!
Course is not maintained
This is a great course to go mess around with some friends, just know what you’re getting into. Most of the greens have massive chunks in the middle, none of the bunkers have sand, fairways are overgrown(especially the back 9). Clubhouse is super friendly and helpful but there is no organization out on the course.
Course needs work
This golf course used to be something special. It still has a really good layout but the course has not been taken care of. I really hope they are going to work on it. Some tee boxes had no tee markers, greens are not great , and hard to distinguish the rough from the fairway. On some holes. Hot dogs were good though.
Getting there
Many rough reviews and clearly warranted for some time. But in all transparency, the course has greatly improved. Still rough spots occasionally but it has improved to a playable course. I dont think this is a 40+ course yet, but again, getting there
Not bad
For a weekend rate of $40 you can't complain. Beautiful scenery and a fun course to play.
Lots of potential
This course was fun for a quick outing. Had we not gotten stuck behind a couple of goobers, it would’ve been great. The course has some nice elements of nature and the greens were well kept
