Blackstone Golf Course

Us over 80 golfers try and get out once a week and play best ball. We were doing great with 7 birdies through 14 holes when one of us started feeling the results of the heat so we decided to call it a day. Some of the fairways need a little TLC. We have played the course since it was built and enjoy the challenge.

Someone please explain how this course is rated 4 out of 5 stars? The condition of this course is in the worst shape that I’ve ever seen any course be in. It needs to be closed down and repaired. Every single green has no less than 30% damage (dead areas) and the fairways are equally bad.

The staff was super friendly though.

Us old folks try and get out once a week and play best ball. The course needs some fairways TLC. We were having a great round with 7 birdies after 14 holes. One of our foursome was not feeling good from the extreme heat so we suspended play. We had a great time while it lasted.

Sadly, the course condition was below par. The greens were not good. It looks like maintenance has fallen off. Both, greens and fairways aren’t how they used to be. Much work needs to recommence and quickly.

Overall, a beautiful layout. Shame that course conditions couldn’t match the course design. Hidden gem!!

Guess for $40 Bucks a round you should not complain but GolfNow should update the description. That is is one of Floridas top rated golf courses is a joke and very misleading,. Also the pictures not even close to current condition. Fairways in terrible condition, greens and tee boxes not much better. Staff was very friendly though. Pace of play excellent (assume golf course doesn’t attract too many golfers anymore)

Course layout is great; but course needs a lot of attention. Fairways need grass and greens are very dry. Seems like the main thing the course need is a lot of water; everything is so dry. Hopefully they will get things together here and the course will prosper.

I've been playing golf for 60 years in over 30 states and many courses. None were worse that this one. Played it several times in years past and was a decent course. Now the greens have little grass and the fairways are similar. Both the course and Golf Now should be ashamed for charging for this course. It's tantamount to stealimg from golfers.

Had a great time course in good condition. Do have concerns about group that had 6 players together . We skipped 4 holes on the back 9 because it's was taking 15 to play one hoe.

The course does not have s starter. It could be helpful.

i didnt play because I was charged twice for reservations and the course said they dont accept golfnow. I want my money back

Some of the fairways are kinda rough but overall good bang for your buck.

You will not find a better course in this area, great layout and fairways are the best around. Rocky Bayou a close second but Windswept is my favorite

Greens we were in average shape because of the tough winter. The fairways were mostly dirt and sand.

We played this course a few months ago and couldn't believe how well kept it was.. we couldn't wait to get back. The greens were super smooth, like putting on green felt and the fairways and tee boxes were ok. Today, we found the greens burnt, bare in some spots and weedy. Some of the ladies tee boxes were so overgrown, it was hard to find a spot where grass wouldn't swallow up your ball that was teed up! We are members at Ft Walton, but since they're redoing a bunch of greens there, we figured we'd go back to Blackstone .... bad idea...I think we'll take our chances at Ft Walton...at least we know ahead of time it's not going to be great.
