Blackstone Golf Course

Course was in pretty decent shape, greens were a little long but still putted pretty true. A couple fairways are hillside so there’s some erosion. Only real complaint was that there wasn’t anything to eat, grill was closed. That shouldn’t happen on a weekend.

Went to this course on 2/9/25 the clubhouse kitchen was not open unfortunately. The fairway was in fairly rough shape in some spots. The greens where in fair shape but did have some weeds grown into it was still very playable. Will definitely give it another go

Thin and Sandy fairways. Greens were true but slow. Pace was excellent, sub 4 hours,

Course has gotten to the unplayable stage.

I heard it has new owners- I hope they can bring it back. Fairways are 80% sand with large voids and holes that stray the golf cart and can twist an ankle.

There is work on the back 9. It should be great by spring.

People are friendly and good value for cost. The course is not in the best condition after a rare snowstorm in NW FL. Lots of hitting off dirt or tight lies on brown grass. Greens were decent but the small weeds make them a bit fuzzy. It is a challenging course - no water but tight fairways. Carts will shut down if you get even a little bit off the cart path which was frustrating. I would play it again though.

Hard to hit shots from dead hard pan and barren tees.

We have no problem with dormant fairways and rough. But course has way too many bare spots and runoff problems. Pace of play was also below par. Course has potential; but 35 bucks is about right - not 50.

Greens were in very good shape. Fairways were mostly not in winter shape. This is a hilly course and the rain cut ruts all over a lot of hilly fairway. For the price we got through Teeoff, it was a reasonably good deal.
