About
The player-friendly Blackstone Golf Course boasts a reputation of being an excellent course for families. The gently undulating landscape is approachable to beginners while still providing a fair amount of challenge. The rolling terrain requires accuracy but most holes allow for short irons if you're willing to risk hitting your ball into the treetops. There is a stream that meanders through the golf course, coming into play on a number of holes. It also crosses through Blackstone's driving range. Strategically placed bunkers are also scattered throughout. The greens are in excellent condition, providing great putting surfaces. Blackstone Golf Course has garnered a local following because of its playability, which is helped by three sets of tees, and extremely reasonable rates. It's an excellent location for a casual round.

Blackstone first time
The fairways are a little beat up but if you find the middle, no problem. The layout was very interesting, challenging and lots of fun. The GPS carts were a great advantage for fist timers. The greens were recently verticut so it’s hard to judge but seemed fair although fast, my problem. We played through a fivesome on #2, starter advised us, a foursome on #7 and a threesome on #12. All cordial and well done. Good value for high season in NW FL
Hilly and challenging because if the poor maintenance.
Was disappointed by the condition, over all poor maintenance and the greens with thin grass coverage.
One positive was the cost to play mirrored the quality of the course.
Fairways
The greens were in excellent condition the fairways were a little rough.
Mixed
Front nine was not good. Poor fairways, etc. Lots of weeds. Perhaps lack of rain has affected the ability to maintain the course. Back nine was much better. Greens were quick but spotty. Again the lack of rain may be affecting their normal growth.
In its current condition cannot recommend the course.
Fairwayneed help
The holes with the steepest fairways were in the worst shape…probably difficult to maintain. Greens are some of the best around. Dry conditions are making it tough. A good rain would improve things tremendously.
Love it!
Always a great place to play. Challenging yet fun. Course is in great shape. Staff was courteous and friendly. Will always come back.
Slow pace
Course coming back from flooding ruts in some fairways.
Great course!
Have played here several times. I like the course. Scenic, challenging and the greens were sweet. They have got some new riding carts that have built-in GPS. (Sweet!)
The staff are courteous. The grounds are kept in good condition. Rolling hills and nature scenery.
Love playing here!
Blackstone never disappoints
If you like a challenging course with tough part four's and elevation changes not found in many Florida courses,then this is a must for you! Enjoy the other Florida!
Course Work Needed
This is not my first time playing this course. The greens and the tee boxes are really good for the area, but everything else is trash. I’m not from the area so I can truly bring an objective opinion to this review. After reading the reviews this is clearly from locals. The fairways are washed out and lacking the appropriate amount of grass. Considering I just played right after (in the same day) of the Florida amateur. The course has a long ways to go for charging $60 a round… Until next time.
