Boca Lago Country Club - South Course

We played 3 courses in Fort Lauderdale area:

Pembroke Lakes. Thursday, $106

Boca Lago CC, Saturday, $94

Coral Springs CC. Monday, $78

Of the 3 courses, this was in the best shape and had the best greens. Really fast greens. Also, for a country club, the price of $94 on a weekend, seemed very attractive. We were able to play the course through reciprocity of our home town course.

When you here country club, I expected the tees and fairways to be better, however, the best we played. The staff was very friendly. Excellent bar area.

What I truly disliked:

$150/ round for 6/10 course condition after 12pm

$105 with Forced 20% gratuity for 2 HOTDOGS and 2 Mixed Drinks ON THE TURN

Not even an attempt to clean clubs by the 3 older employees by the bag room.

Simple point. Either provide a $150 a round golf experience or don’t open to the public.. they likely charge $150 so members feel important but the value is about $65-$70 round compared to a lot of other publicly accessible local courses.

All city of Palm beach courses make this private course look like a dog track.

Would recommend for those who are accustomed to playing private golf course.

Lots of interesting holes. The 5's and the 3's present some challenges. The par 4's are a nice mix of easy to hard.

A good day of golf. Was directed to the west course with its 4 par 3’s is more like a pitch and putt but others good day of golf

Excellent layout and great condition. Really challenging with water and hazzards!!!

Some staff lovely, others, not so much.

Very scenic, lots of wildlife.

Turf needs some attention with “poa” out of control.

This course was in great shape. Great greens, friendly staff. Super hot day out (I played an afternoon in the Summer and I only saw a few other golfers on the course since all the snowbirds still were up North).

Loved the layout, required precision instead of length. A LOT of dog legs, especially dog leg lefts (not ideal for me since I play a fade, but still a ton of fun).

Highly recommend this course. I will be playing here again!

Great country club. Course in excellent shape

Beautiful sparkling white bunkers. Super friendly staff. 27 holes, one nine is only a par 34 I think.

Worth the green fee
