Boca Lago Country Club - South Course

Played the South & East Courses. Course conditions are good. Liked the lay out. Will definitely play there again.

Easy enjoyable round in the Boca area. Staff was friendly and helpful, but the layout was kind of boring. Not a lot of challenges on the course, which was in excellent condition. Plenty of water available around the course.

Some friends came in from out of state so I took them to this golf course. While I live here, this was my first time playing at Boca Lago. It was such an enjoyable experience, we played here two days in a row! I can't speak to what it is like during peak season, but here at the end of July, the course was in good shape, and the pace of play was excellent. For $65 a round (off peak summer rate), very well worth the money! Will put Boca Lago on my list of places to start playing regularly!

Played 18 at Boca Lago for the first time today.

When we arrived to drop off our bags, the cart guy was so friendly & helpful. They were having an, “end of the season sale” in the pro shop. We stopped in, got a couple of hats (I get one every time I play a new course) & some other apparel. I couldn’t believe how reasonably priced everything was.

The starter had a great sense of humor and we enjoyed shooting the breeze with him between changing courses.

The course structure of (3) 9 hole courses made it very interesting. We started on the South course, rather challenging, with water on almost every hole. Playing from the ladies (green tees) there’s plenty of opportunities to use your driver & hybrids. This is a course to play smart, instead of loosing your ball in the water, club down and set yourself up for your next shot.

For the back 9 we played the West course, I’m assuming, is the easiest of the three. Minimal water & a few par 3’s.

The course was in great condition, some minor patches on the green but other than that, it was maintained very well. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone, with the structure & 5 tee boxes, there’s a course for golfers with all skill levels.

Very nice layout with most holes being challenging. I can't complain about that. However, the tee boxes and the fairways were average, and the green were in bad shape, lots of spots, patches and painted. That was disappointing, especially at 150$US per round. I played average courses for half that price that had better greens.

In a nutshell: nice layout, good pace of play, friendly staff, course condition average and very bad greens for that much money. Perhaps overrated? I played EagleTrace last week for 100 $US and it was in much better shape.

That is why I don't reccomend this course. Fix the greens or lower the fees!!

We played 5 public, semi private courses. . Boca Lago is by far the best. The assistant pro, Nick Bennett was very helpful in replacing my driver which was broken in transport. I will go back for sure if I can get tee times.

Course is not worth what they’re charging.

Do Not play the west 9. Many dog left holes and 4 par 3s.

Greens were OK . Some bare spots otherwise good shape with good layout.

Course conditions did not live up to private course expectations. Price is NOT worth it. Layout is very heavy right to left dog legs. Feels like they fit a course inside of a community. Not forgiving. Couldn’t imagine being a member here.

Great day members are welcoming and the quality of greens superb. Can’t wait to bring my wife next time.
