9 Hole layout on South course Photo submitted by DavidLaDuke on 04/06/2015
Wonderful Course(s)
Really fantastic course. I played the South/East combo. There weren't a ton of people on the course so I flew through my round. I think both of these 9 hole tracks are really great. Par 4's are not that challenging, fairways have some nice rolling features to them. The par 5's are well designed with water in the right places to make you think about your next shot and whether going for the green in two is worth it. All the grass is well kept, watered, and mowed. Greens were practically immaculate. What I especially loved about these designs is that, while there are houses adjacent to the fairways, the direction of play always places them on the left. Wonderful, considering most golfers are right-handed slicers (if you hook or slice left-handed, be nice to the neighbors...though the houses aren't that close to the fairway, and the holes themselves are designed to hit away from them). The par-3's are great, either hitting with water as a danger or to a multitiered green. Carts are electric, all have divot sand and rain covers. No GPS, but the clubhouse offers yardage books for 5 bucks. There are courses in the area where you'll pay a lot more and get two-decade-old carts and jack from the clubhouse besides an attitude. Broken Arrow gave the feeling that golf is something everyone enjoys and hope the people who play there leave with an enjoyable experience. I certainly did.
Nice Course
I really like the course, some interesting holes with a fair layout and chances to score. Tee boxes were a bit beat up, but overall the course was in good shape. Pace of play was excellent and the staff was very friendly and accommodating.
Excellent Track
Broken Arrow is a top 5 track for the value. The course is always in fantastic condition . It is player friendly no matter what your handicap.
First time on this fun course
My first time playing Broken Arrow. Considering all of the rain we've had lately, the course was dry and was in great shape. I only found a couple of wet spots in the rough. Greens and fairways were well maintained. The course itself is challenging but not overwhelming. My only complaint would be the pace of play. Most times there were 3 groups on each of the par 4s we played. Our round took 4-1/2 hours to play. Overall, a great course for the price I paid.
I would definitely play again.
easy going front desk gentleman, great course/round
super nice dude at front desk let me fly through as a single trying to cram a round in prior to running to airport. finished in two hours (weekday of course). but, course was also in great shape, greens rolled nicely, lots of trouble lurking (water, ob, etc). sand traps need some sand. overall, super happy golfer dude and i'll be back for sure. :)
Great value
Greens and fairways in great shape. Sometimes hard to get good yardage with double greens.
Great deal
For the money you can't beat broken arrow. Greens are fast and the course is always in good shape.
Nice course
Couse in great shape. Challenging holes with a variety of green shapes/sizes. Will play again.
Great round
I played there this past Sunday. The course was in great shape. Greens rolied nicely
Masters Saturday
I got to get out in the afternoon this Saturday after the crazy amount of rain we have gotten the past week. The course was over all in pretty good shape only had a couple lies that where to set to play in. We were able to get out for about 35 bucks. That is a steal on this course as it's normally pushing 60 bucks. I will say this course is exteeamly affected by wind conditions and changes the difficulty dramatically.
In the rotation
Every time if have played any of the three 9hole courses, the courses have been in excellent condition. Greens always have had good pace to them and show the effort by the staff to keep up with repairing ball marks on a busy public golf course. There is a good variety of holes . Tee shots range from swinging freely to feeling just uncomfortable enough to maybe make the golfer think twice about where the ball can't end up. My only complaint is that the grass tees on the driving range have never been open before any of my rounds.
Great Layout,Inconsistent conditions.
When in good shape the greens are quick and true. You just neer know what you are going to get. Love the layout. You hit wvery club in the bag.
Broken Arrow
Course was in good condition considering the time of year. The sand traps were mostly playable but some were very hard from the rain. Leaves caused some problems finding a ball hit into the ruff but overall good conditions on the course.
Vety poor cudtomer service.
Very poor customer service. Gen Mgr was very rude. Couse condition not worth your money.
Another excellent facility in SW suburbs
Excellent 27-hole facility in the former cornfields of Lockport, comparable in course quality to Prairie Bluff (which is nearby) and Sanctuary. This course wends its way through a residential development like the Links and Carillon, but is far superior. Got a great deal on Golfnow.
Nice course for the money
Nice design, smooth, quick greens. Didn't like the two flags per green on the north course. Confusing to get yardage. Will definitely play again
Nice track
East/North 18 offer some tough holes - particularly North with double pins from the more difficult blues.
