Cascades Golf Club is one of two nine-hole courses offered by Crystal Springs Resort, which offers four other courses. Cascades is the newest of all the courses. It was designed by Roger Rulewich, who designed two of the resort's most popular golf courses, Ballyowen and Wild Turkey. The other nine-hole course, Minerals, has been ranked as one of the top 12 short courses in the country, but Cascades still manages to hold its own. The course offers a fair amount of challenge but the main appeal is its playability. Cascades Golf Club is mostly open with a few strategically placed bunkers coming into play. There is also the occasional water hazard. The golf course is gentle enough for beginners but provides a quick but fun round for more advanced golfers.

Very Nice Greens

Rulewich created a challenging design at Cascades. Fun for the average golfer but challenging from the 3600 yd back tees. The bunkers and greens are normally well maintained. The greens are a different type from all other Crytal Resort courses. A bit more firm and often fast, which is great for the better golfer putting a premium on spinning the ball to get it close. Wider fairways and undulating fast greens make it a great matchplay course. 1 4 6 7 8 9 are my fav holes. 2 and 7 are most challenging for me off the tee.
