one of the best in the area
Enjoyed this course a lot, lots of different looks, greens in really good shape, the club house is excellent, and the staff could not be more friendly.
Keep the driver in the bag.
What a beautiful course. Great layout. Brutally slow pace at midday Saturday, somewhat to be expected. Great Facility, great staff. I will play here again.
Excellent course
Great course Well kept. Several tough holes.Very challenging course.Greens and fairways kept well, nice staff.I like it a lot.
Good value
Tough course. Played on a Saturday morning. Though I'm a high handicapper, I do keep pace. I don't spend a lot of to me looking for a $2/ball. Can't say everyone takes my approach. Course can do a better job preparing you for shot strategy on a few holes. Live along lakefront, easy to get to, good value compared to comparable course in north suburbs.
A fun yet challenging golf course
Didn't feel like I was in Indiana at all. Beautiful track, good condition.
zig
Course was beautiful and we'll maintain. Only negative was greens we're freshly sanded and putting was very difficult.
Good course - not worth the money
This was about the 4th time I played the course. The staff and clubhouse are excellent. The price is a bit high for similar courses. The greens still had some issues across the course. The rough in on the course is almost too thick to enjoy yourself as any ball that misses the fairway can be near impossible to find. I would play here again, but it would have to be at a cheaper price.
Challenging
This course is tough.....a lot of water that is in play on most shots.
A very nice place to play
I really like this course. It has many challenging holes, some of regular difficulty, and a few that are pretty easy. That's a nice mix for an average golfer like me (12 hcp). There are a couple of greens that have suffered some kind of significant damage, but most are fine. Some holes take some getting used to, because your best strategy for some tee shots and approach shots can hard to figure out (this is true, for example, on 3, 4, 5, 14, and 15). The staff is great. For me, living in Chicago's South Loop, it's the easiest good course to get to -- 20-25 minutes max.
Like a secret garden surrounded by industry
Beautiful and challenging. Be sure to bring extra golf balls; but you'll probably find as many as you lose! You'll use all your clubs here. Make sure you have gps! All kinds of holes at this course, lots of adventure. I scored 3 birdies, 4 pars & 11 "others". LOL! Play here, you won't be sorry.
Surprise find
Great layout, quirky design with target golf in mind. Really enjoyed it, definitely need to come back now that I know the hole layout better.
Balls Deep at the Marsh
Excellent golf course. Played here many times.
The tee boxes and greens are in need of repair but so do all the golf courses that I have played.
The course is well manicured and worth the price to play.
Watch out for the beverage cart girl. She is mean and rude.
Not worth the money
I heard this was a great course and being a Saturday morning I expected some traffic. Great looking facility but holes weren't matching. Ten minute delay on the first tee then about five minutes every hole after. Some of the greens have dirt spots which makes it very uneven to put. $67 a person should be able to keep the greens nice at least. A foursome cut infront of us inbetween 9/10 which slowed us down tremendously already being a foursome. Just not a great experience overall.
Nice Course and Great Staff
Course is very nice. Staff was fabulous. Dean in the Pro Shop was great. Lots of water, bring a few extra balls
Great course!
play here frequently every year as its conveniently located for us downtown Chicago folks. We love the course, but know many who do not (they call it Lost Ball Marsh - lot of water1)
Note that 1,4, and 5 greens were damaged by geese during the winter and they make you aware of that before you tee off. 1 was a mess still, but 4 and 5 had pretty much healed fully.
Greens burnt
Awesome layout but 6 greens were unplayable due to winter damage. Would have been nice if we were told or offred some kind of discout
Staffing problems
The attitude of the staff needs major upgrading.
They were rude and discourteous.
They were shocked that we paid a reduced green fee through Golf Now.
Also, they don't know the difference between blue jeans and Dockers!!
this course requires accuracy
current conditions at course are not good winter has put them behind in getting course ready for play some greens are in rough shape now but have played course several times and would say about end of may will be in very good shape
It was challenging. & conditions were fair due to winter conditions. Greens were poor , very bumpy
It was close to get to from chicago. The conditions of the greens were poor.
May return in summer when the course has improved.
Very interesting layout , challenging all the way
I Plan on returning next year . We played on a cool windy day this fall ,will be nice in the spring
