McDowell Mountain Golf Club

Had played TPC Scottsdale Champions Course after flying in for a vacation and had time for a second round of the day. Looked dry as I teed off and then found naked out fairways that resembled brown dirt. Got to the first green and they were punched with heavy times and not enough sand to fill the holes. Should have walked off but decided I was on vacation and to try and enjoy the rest of the round. Should have gone to my resort and had beer and swim in the pool. They should not allow people to even show up and pay money to be on the property.

Always good. Dried out fairways right now. Still enjoyed the round, but had a few crunchy lies in the fairway. Greens are in good shape. It’s a tough course from the black tees. Amazing views from the tee boxes. During the winter months this is an absolute gem and highly recommend.

Over 50% of the fairways on the front 9 arnd 30% on the back 9 are burned out., the greens are half dirt and won’t hold a ball, and the bunkers contain more rocks than sand. The course has a nice track but is horribly unmaintained. Not planning to return..

Slow play, practice area is in bad shape, fairways are in rough shape, lots of burnt areas, so for value I would definitely look elsewhere

Playing at noon. No outside staff around. I had to find my way around. No cart staff on the course. Water was available at most holes.

The fairway and the approach is quite dry so that there is hardly any divot.

First time playing this course and I was pleasantly surprised. I got paired up with 3 awesome people and it made the round even more enjoyable. Tough layout but kept it interesting and not impossible to shoot a low score. I’ll definitely play this again during the summer, but probably not during season because I never really believe in the exorbitant prices for some of the ‘nicer’ courses like this one. But absolutely a value during the hotter months.

Really enjoyed playing and would definitely come back. Greens were in great shape and since we were the 3rd group off, pace of play was amazing.

A great layout and fun to play. As with any course there were a couple holes, I would play differently after having played it the first time. Overall, a very enjoyable course with challenges yet not unfair. Looking forward to playing again someday. Picture is 18 tee.

Challenging and fun course in great shape. Awesome views and awesome pro shop/bar restaurant area. Top notch practice facility.
