Bridlewood Golf Club
About
Designed by D.A. Weibring, Bridlewood Golf Course features a spectacular combination of links-style and traditional features as it snakes its way through the flat farmlands and terrain that seem to be specifically created for golf.
The front nine isn’t as rugged as the back, and its first few holes feel more residential than the rest of the course. Two holes stand out. No. 8 is all carry over water at 195 yards, followed by the monster -- a par 4 that demands one heck of a tee shot to avoid the water left and out-of-bounds right in finding the skinny fairway. Next comes a long, long approach that will have you begging for a bogey.

beautiful course
one of the most well manicured courses in the metroplex. that makes it worth the money
Better than average track
Well maintained track, but very slow for a Friday round and staff wasn't overly helpful, available, or friendly. Many tee time does come with box of ProV1s!
Great layout, horrible conditions for April golf
Beautiful layout, but the fairways and greens were like concrete. I hit multiple wedge shots both into and down wind that landed on the front third of the greens only to watch the ball bounce 4ft in the air and roll off the back if the green. If you looking to pad your driving stats this is the course for you, just hit it In the fairway and it will roll an extra 50 yards. I could understand the concrete like conditions if we were talking about July-September,but this is April, courses should be in prime shape. We played at the twilight rate and I still feel like I over payed. Do yourself a favor and pass on this course until the conditions improve, to many other courses in the area that are in great shape for half the price of this one.
a nice afternoon
they keep the course in great shape for a public course. its an upper end public course. on the bad side, they charged for range balls (they used to not), and went up a dollar on their beer prices to 4.50 which is ridiculous.
Beautiful course
Really great to play a course this nice, wish I could do this every week, thank you GOLF NOW player rewards!@!!
Bridlewood Respit
I played the course with my son-in-law and we were paired with two other men who were of similar abilities, and they were both very nice. Had a great time. Pace of play was pretty good. Gold carts were not functioning well, but the staff traded out the cart we were in and the cart our playing parte=ners were in! On the 14th hole we were asked to turn in our carts as soon as we were through because they were running short of working carts. The fairways and greens were both firm, making for some very long drives, and some of the more difficult greens I have played on approach shots. They were fast and true once you got the ball to stay on them which I liked. Overall a great experience, and we had a perfect weather day which also helped. The area has been very dry and it showed in the rough, but the fairways and greens were in great shape. I'd love to play it again sometime.
Management
I recently played this course, it was a very busy day! We tee off on time thanks to the starter, he was doing a wonderful job, but when we arrive to the third hole, it was a foursome hitting to the green and a fivesome behind them. That's when everything started, a fivesome in a busy day, I never spected that one. They had a radio with very loud music and this guys hit a few balls each in a more than three or four occasion. I played 9 holes in 3 hours before a quit. no Marshall on the course to oversee the pace of play or make sure rules are being follow. For me it was just a very bad experience. Thank you.
Nice course
Course was good, greens were hard and fast. Didn't see a cart girl until 7th hole and only seen her one more time on 15. Every thing else was pretty nice.
course is in good shape.
Nice course. The weather wasn't very good the day we played. The greens and fairways were in good shape considering the winter we had around here.
I will go back in the simmer or fall to play this course again.
Greens make it tougher than it should be
If you can figure out how to chip and putt on greens as hard as a pool table, then you'll probably score better than I did. My whole group struggled mightily with the hard and fast greens.
easy course
nice course and facilities. The greens were hard and hard to stop a ball.it had just rained the day before and the sand traps were very difficult to play out of and not groomed.overall a very nice golf course but probably not worth what they're asking to play on it. Robson ranch and the golf club at the resort are similar the Facilities and much more reasonable.
solid golf course
Enjoyed another solid, albeit slow round of golf here. Pace of play (back. 9) dragged a bit, but it wasn't excessive. I think it's due to the short Par 5 on the back side that is reachable. The greens weren't as fast as they usually are (typically some of the fastest in the Metroplex, you don't want to be above the hole here!), but they were still good. Overall, this course remains in good shape, and it's a nice test of golf. Well worth the drive from McKinney...I'll be back!
Play Bridlewood if you get a chance
Course is in great condition. The best part of it was that our twosome was paired with a great twosome and we really enjoyed the round.
Course has plenty of trouble and it is easy to find it. Keep it straight and keep it out of the creeks.
Greens are some of the best around
Greens in great shape considering the winter we had. They have not been punched yet but told that is scheduled 1st week of April. Fairways still dormant and firm but weeks from being ideal.
Love the course
Course in good shape for what little rain we have had. Greens are still too hard and are not holding anything.
Solid course for a winter round
The layout is beautiful as you weave in and out of wooded trails and fine looking houses. This course is generous off the tee, but tightens up as you approach the green. Despite the Winter weather conditions (windy & 30-40 F temperatures), the course was in nice shape. The greens seemed to have been recently punched, but are starting to shape up for Spring. Lots of water so bring a few extra sleeves if your swing is a little off.
Great experience
Good experience. Close to home. Enjoyed the experience overall.
Remains one of my favorite courses
Greens were fast and true, fairways roll out and the course is in good shape. Something for every skill level here, great course when you get a good deal on golfnow, though I wouldn't pay full price. You don't need to. When the wind is out of the south, the course is a joy to play. Out of the north, it gets long from the blue and black tees.
Greg Lytle
This is a nice course with an excellent layout. Definitely the best in this area. My only complaint is that the greens are very hard and extremely fast. I played with a Bridlewood resident who told me that they would likely soften up over the next few months. I hope so...
