Great 9 hole course as with all 9 hole courses catching up with players starting a round if your playing 18 but other than that great little course. With covid virus on I’d presume they do a dinner or hot food would be nice after a round or if starting early a breakfast roll. But will certainly play it again
Average at best
Played the 9 hole course which was good for money at 14 euro for the 9 holes although in hindsight I should've spent the 30 euro and played somewhere else. The greens were uncut and quite hairy (usually I can somewhat understand this for winter but they were very long). The tee boxes were in very poor condition (again no form of grass cutting for a tee box) and it was hard to tee off on some holes. Ground on fairways was also incredibly soft with any of the longer shots plugging and requiring a small search to find. The pathways between holes were dirt trails and we're quite waterlogged. I'm sure the course could be quite nice in summer but I wouldn't recommend going out to play over the winter months.
I played Elm Hall
Nice 9 hole course in parkland setting. Many trees but very nicely kept underneath. Not crowded at all. Great greens.
Lovely 9 Hole Golf Club - Best Greens
Very nice 9 hole club, ideally located.
As a beginner, I found the course challenging with some trees in strange places (In the middle of the fairway - Similar to Bethpage Black actually!)
Apart from that, I found the course easy to follow, even on the longer, dog legged fairways. The trees are well maintained and I was able to retrieve wayward shots without too much hassle. The nearby train track adds another dimension.
Once I finally made it to the greens, things got even better - Probably the best greens i've played on. Having started golf last year, i've joined a number of societies to try to get out as often a I can.
I've played in pretty much all the courses in South and West Dublin and the green here are in as good condition as the best. They aren't as slopped or difficult as the bigger clubs, but manicured to perfection.
I have to bring some friends out to prove this point.
You really wont beat that price for value!!
The GolfNow App works perfectly for this course also.
Ok course
Not a bad course if you want to kill a few hours and hit a few balls
Average course but great value
I've played here a few times recently, as it's very local, and it's a perfect fit for me as it's convenient, it's a 9 hole course and it's fairly forgiving.
The course has it's surprises and little challenges but in general it's a good course for a beginner or casual golfer. I have been re-learning the game on this course and it has suited perfectly for that.
The course offers excellent value for money and the facilities are basic enough but all the basics are indeed covered.
Good beginner 9 hole course
This is a good course for beginners. Some quirky features (Trees in odd spots and water hazards to make a slight challenge)
Is probably priced a little high for a mid week round!
