About
Designed by Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay, the links-style Golf Club at Fossil Creek was nominated by Golf Digest as one of the best new public golf courses in Texas when it opened in 1987, and has lived up to that advance billing since then. The course is scenic, with massive trees, limestone bluffs, bubbling creeks, and numerous lakes that bring water into play on 15 of 18 holes. The course boasts pretty rolling fairways and 18 testing holes all intertwined throughout streams created by Fossil Creek. It's surrounded by rocky-ledged creeks and crystal lakes.

Pretty course
The course was in very healthy condition, but we were restricted to cart paths only and the driving range was closed. The explanation was that the previous rain had left the grounds too soft and mud would result. We didn’t find that to be true on the course and felt we could at least have been allowed the ninety degree rule. Consequently, because some of the fairways were so wide we had to do a lot of walking which made our round really slow. Other than that and a very slow foursome ahead of us we found the course to be enjoyable and well-maintained.

Great day on a great course
Challenging course but still a good course for intermediate players who can choose to play it shorter. Rey well kept and an awesome clubhouse.!

I'd Play It Again
Course was in good condition and the pace of play was good for a Saturday afternoon. Course is very playable.

Pricey
$54 for 5pm tee time is outrageous. Especially for 10 holes. Between the slow pace and rain, a pretty bad experience. I like the course but wont recommend because of the price

Great shape
Course was great and in good shape. I had a good time but very disappointed that the closed closed so early.

Poor conditions
The greens had been punched. Lots of mud. Cart path only. Range was closed. Took 5 hours plus. I tried to cancel the night before because of all the rain, knowing it would be a mess. They would not allow it.

Great course
I’ve played this course a lot and I never get tired of it. Everything is great. This course will every year be my go to for my birthday round.

Great course. Terrible pace
This place could be really really good if it was monitored by Marshalls. Incredible slow play with beginner groups that don’t let others play through. Seems to be a common occurrence. If they could staff a Marshall or two to help pace of play this would be a perfect spot.

Amazing course
It is a pretty course in really good conditions, the only negative thing that I can think of is that there's no screen with GPS on the cart
